Postpartum hair loss, PLEASE help

Am now 4mo postpartum with DC2 and desperately need help for my receding hairline.

8 months pp with DC1, so much fell out that I cried and then it did grow back with those wispy bits I call “baby hair” at the front. I sincerely hope the hair loss will stop soon naturally, but are there any products you’ve used successfully to help?

Sorry, don't have any helpful advice. Had the same hair loss both times. But it is growing back again!

I had this too, its so disheartening, my hauts never truly recovered. I didn't find any products that worked. What i did too was ensure i took a daily multivitamin, limit to washing/brushing etc, got a shorter haircut to help blend it.

Yeah, I wash it every 3 days or so, using either Heads and Shoulders or a Pantene Clay shampoo (had issues with extreme greasiness at random times when pregnant and also pp), and condition so I’m not pulling on it when I brush it. I need a haircut but obviously that’ll have to wait... You’ve reminded me that I got it cut quite short last time actually, somehow that made me feel better.

I have been recommended plantur 39 hair tonic by someone who has had some success with it
I have only just got some so can't say yet how it will work, but worth a try,
Boots might sell it, and Amazon do, but got mine off ebay, post free,Amazon charge was over £3 postage
Hope this helps/

Biotin supplements work but you need to take a high dose and it was 3 months before I saw hit growing back. Xx

Biotin made my hair grow where i had some,,but didn;t give me any regrowth, and been taking it for over a year
Tried Viviscal as well and it's expensive but that didn't work either

Have you had your iron and ferritin levels checked recently? You may need iron supplements.

Biotin is good. You can massage your head.
Castor oil helps hair to grow.
Coconut oil is also good for your hair growth.

I had this too was pulling handfuls out in the shower and the doctor did tests. I was really low in zinc and something else I can't remember. I was prescribed high doses of supplements for a couple of months and that sorted it out.

Have you had your iron and ferritin levels checked recently?

I was out of the anaemic range about 8 weeks postpartum (lost a lot at the birth, just avoided a transfusion) but no more tests. May well be deficient in something, I’ve just started taking a multivitamin. Will look into Biotin...

Thanks for the replies so far!

Five months in here and hair loss still going strong. Anyone remember roughly when theirs stopped?
