I'm looking for a fairly specific replacement necklace for my MIL as a backup for one she has nearly worn out after years of everyday wear.
However, I'm having problems working out the right search terms to describe it, could you help?
The original necklace is made of coral coloured leather but it is not shoelacey thong or a dog-collar type strap, it is proper sheet leather (for handbags/gloves) that has been rolled and seamed to make a solid tube about 6-8mm in diameter. It fastens at the back with metal ends and sits on the collarbones - not a choker, but you can mostly see it inside a round necked jumper.
There is a single smooth silver coloured metal bead of 8-10mm diameter in the centre front.
I appreciate I won't find the exact one, but I'm thinking that there must be other stitched leather necklaces around, and possibly one with a coral colour or accent? I'd accept a round section leather braid too but I still can't narrow down my searches enough within those to find anything close.
