Hush Harems

Has anyone got these and can recommend? I’m looking for something for being in the house that’s not pjs or the scruffy joggers I have. I need to get up, showered and dressed everyday for my mental health and I’d like some lovely casual clothes to wear.

Same that don't shrink in dryer or bobble easily

Llareggub · 03/04/2020 11:21

I have had a few pairs, as well as the Amies. I love them both but they do come up quite large so do size down.

suze28 · 03/04/2020 11:32

They are lovely and comfy!

NellMangel · 03/04/2020 16:19

They are lovely. Good quality and you dont feel too slob-like. I live in mine at home.

Alsohuman · 03/04/2020 16:25

I love the Amies, the ankle zip adds a little something. I live in mine.

emma6776 · 03/04/2020 16:27

My navy and black pairs are nice, keep their shape and wash well. My grey pair look scruffy and bobbled on the first wash. Size down and they come up HUGE. Even sized down my partner calls me MC Hammer when I wear them. Dick.

I recently got some (after dithering for ages) and I love them.

I'm usually a size 10/12, got them in an 8 and they fit really nicely - loose but not too baggy.

ZaraW · 03/04/2020 19:34

I don't find them flattering at all. I have Alo Yoga moto sweatpants and Z Supply harems which look better.

MissDollyMix · 03/04/2020 19:36

My friend has some and she looks lovely in them and they also look so comfy. She raves about them. But! She’s 5’8 ish and they are a great fit on her- 5’3 ish me tried them on in John Lewis and they were far too long! Gutted! I think the size up big - my friend is normally a 12 but wears an 8 in them.

Alsohuman · 03/04/2020 19:40

Who cares if they’re “flattering”? That’s not what they’re for, comfort is the entire point of them.

ADreamOfGood · 03/04/2020 19:44

They are v comfy. I have XS, and I'm a 10, but they're pretty loose.
I bought them for flying last summer, and tbh haven't worn them since about October as it was too cold, but I've been wearing them since WFH and they're fab.

I choose to have flattering and comfortable clothes. That's my choice. If you don't mind unflattering good for you.

I have the cropped ones. I have Medium shapely calves and they are so so tight they actually hurt. I should have sent them back but it was so hot last year I just wore them despite the red sore marks they left when I took them off.

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 03/04/2020 22:09

Yes I did not get on with the cropped ones

Love their long ones, I have been wearing them for 5 yrs, I like to wear them with fitted vest top and denim or leather jacket (I guess this way of wearing them is old hat by now Grin but I like it)

maggiso · 03/04/2020 22:10

I love them particularly the cropped ones in summer) but my husband hates me wearing them! They wash well and are comfortable. I also have XS am a size 10 petite- they are rather generous. They might be a little short for a tall person.

Pinkarsedfly · 03/04/2020 22:33

Love them.

LunaTheCat · 03/04/2020 22:40

I am a 12\14 and wear the XS in harems -they are huge.
I have black and blue , had both 2 years and they wear really well and look like new.
I am short at 5 foot so they are long so they “balloon” a bit at bottom but still look fine.

AmethystMoonShine · 04/04/2020 03:51

I have them in black, navy, khaki, grey and airforce blue. I also have a cropped pair in grey that are good in summer as others have said.
I love them so much!
However, my tip is to wash them inside out, in a mesh laundry bag on a delicate wash on a cold setting. This prevents bobbles.
I sent my original three pairs, black, khaki and airforce blue back to hush as they all bobbled despite following their washing instructions. The customer service lady said she washed hers cold and inside out, I added the laundry bag as an extra measure.
I now wear my collection loads and they’re all looking great Grin
I tend to buy a pair each year just after Christmas when Hush do 20 percent off everything (before their sale) as harems don’t go in the sale, as far as I’m aware.

Ellapaella · 04/04/2020 10:52

I have Hush harems and love them. I'm a 10-12 and have the XS.
They are thin and not very warm, they are a summer trouser imo which is when I tend to wear them most, with flipflops or sandals.
Even for lounging round the house in winter with heating on they are so thin they aren't very warm.
