Loungewear recommendations

I'm trying to find comfy, cute loungewear to get me through this lockdown/wfh situation.

Any recommendations on where to order from that's still delivering? Bonus points for any independent retailers.

I can't help you on the independent retailer front, however, I was looking into this for myself the other day and found some wonderful things on BooHoo and Asos. Oysho also have some lovely things and other places that I would look are Zalando, Bershka, Pull&Bear and perhaps Zara and H&M. However, we may have very different taste! Good luck :)

ASOS are on the shit list for treating staff badly during the crisis

Swiftier · 01/04/2020 15:07

Yes, Sunspel, they have nice joggers and sweats and have 30% off at the mo. Still delivering.

hipslikecinderella · 01/04/2020 15:33

Majestic Filatures make gorgeous things, all soft and especially the cashmere mixes.

Blackbird1234 · 02/04/2020 11:41

@TimeForCableTies Oh really? I wasn't aware of that. I have noticed that their prices have risen quite a bit over the past year and their delivery time isn't what it used to be, so can't say I've used them much. Will bear that in mind! Do you know which companies are on the "good" list?

Celtic & Co merino leggings (more like joggers, although you could size down for a more leggingy fit, they're very stretchy). I bought 3 pairs just before the pandemic hit and have been living in them ever since. Most comfortable and warm things ever. Bit spendy (I had birthday money to blow) but 100% worth it.

Also love their knitwear generally... long chunky cardies are my bag Grin and their Donegal coatigans are gorgeous.

Oh, hush of course!

Look here for small brands suggestions. All British many run by women. If you do spend money it will help keep these small businesses going

TimeForCableTies · 02/04/2020 13:50

@Blackbird1234 sorry I can't find the page now, it was quite a good list and google is failing me.

If you can afford to I would support smaller brands generally as this is a time when they're likely to go under.

I'll keep looking for the link sorry.

FizzyPink · 02/04/2020 13:58

Please don’t but the Boohoo sets. I fell into the trap of thinking they’re very cute and cheap but the material is awful. I cant wear them, they’re so scratchy and cheap

TimeForCableTies · 02/04/2020 14:34

This is not the one I had before but:

@TimeForCableTies Oh wonderful thank you! I'll have a look now.

SleepingIsOverrated · 02/04/2020 15:15

I had boohoo loungewear a while back OP, looked lovely online but in reality it lasted around 3 washes before it went really bobbly Confused

Danglingmod · 02/04/2020 15:53

Thought Clothing have nice bamboo yoga pants and jumpsuits etc.

Ethical, small retailer.

Livingoffcoffee · 02/04/2020 17:35

@TimeForCableTies oh that's a brilliant link, thank you

I did fall victim to the lull of fast fashion and got 2 from Boohoo before I saw the warnings! Argg guess I'll at least look cute on my video conferences for a day or two 🤦🏼‍♀️

Time to go look into these smaller retailers!

@Livingoffcoffee The loungewear I bought recently was from Boohoo and I've had it about a week and it's fine so far, still comfortable, still feeling/looking fine despite one wash, however, I bought a couple of hoodies and some joggers rather than the actual fancy loungewear so that may make a difference.
