I don't know about you but I could use a frivolous thread to ease the relentless bombardment.

I'll start Grin..

I have bought some tan Fairfax and Favor driving loafers which has given me the urge to go all preppy.

I have lost 2 stone recently and am excited about my summer wardrobe. I have had a lot of joy at Next for some great basics. So far I have built a new capsule and like wide legs at the mo.

What's on your radar?

Nice cheerful thread! I’m very jealous you’ve lost 2 stone Envy.

Planning on getting to a casual jumpsuit but haven’t decided from where yet.

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 31/03/2020 22:48

OOOH ! I love a jumpsuit- any contenders?

I have bought 2 bandeau culottes ones from Next for the summer in black and navy. Well chuffed with them - am going to wear them with my White Company lace up sandals and lashings of red lipstick!

Will find a pic.....

My mother of the groom outfit. With a fabulous big hat, expensive shoes and a gorgeous clutch full of tissues.

These threads are better with pics!

More of my finds I am looking forward to busting out...Grin

I’ve put on over 2 stone but I’ve quit drinking & intend to work on my fitness so I can get into my summer clothes. I bought a shed load then ballooned so have a lot of nice things to choose from. I am also looking forward to buying a decent primer, foundation & brush ( can’t afford them at the mo as I’m not earning).

DonchaWantMe · 31/03/2020 23:07

I'm 40. First time was about 5 years ago - my 11 lines between the eyes bothered me..I've done it about 6 or 7 times in total. It doesn't last 6 months but not too far off it for me and I've settled on twice a year as my pick-me-up number. I am not desperate for it (last had it in October), not addicted, I don't need to be permanently frozen or wrinkle free, but it will be a treat. I think it looks fairly natural though maybe I'm deluded and it doesn't. I don't really care. I just love how rested it makes me look and how much easier make-up goes on. So that's something I'm looking forward to.

I’m wearing nice clothes to work from home -lecturer, so doing lots of video stuff with students - but am looking forward to bringing out all my lovely summer dresses, skirts, and t-shirts. I recently bought two great pairs of jeans (Levi’s balloon legs in black, and some blue ones from Whistles) which I will enjoy wearing outside of the house/garden/my allowed daily walk.

I’m due a fancy airflow tooth polish thing at the end of April, so looking forward to that at whatever point dentists re-open.

Haircut.

I have my eye on a silver ring I saw featured on a blog recently, the new Chanel rosy highlighter, and some Tauer perfume.

Something super glam to go out on the town... well, as much as an old gimmer can

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 01/04/2020 00:33

Blimey the Chanel link has given me major shoe and ring lust......

Summer dresses in the sunshine.

Karmatime · 01/04/2020 06:47

Two lovely summer midi dresses I got in the sale last year from Whistles and Jigsaw and it quickly got too cold to wear them - if they still fit!

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 01/04/2020 13:03

Yay! More links please...

OP love the black maxi dress, where’s it from?

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 01/04/2020 13:36

Hi Shiny - it is unfortunately from Next. It is a lovely dress- flows without being voluminous and a good weight to it. I think it is called a 'trapeze maxi'. Will be perfect the it heats up :)

I want to go and spend a weekend in my favourite vineyard. Coffee on the terrace, seafood for supper, warm evening sunshine.
