Are Tarte products any good?

Got my eye on the double ended contour & concealer brushes, as well as shape tape.
(I currently use a Primark brush & NYX concealer!)
Are they worth the bunce? Or am I being influenced by TOWIE types who are 10 years younger & spend thousands on fillers/treatments each year? 🥴

I love Tarte

Haven’t used the Shape Tape but know many who have. My issue has been I’m not confident on the shade and I’d be ordering from the US.

I love their eyeshadow palettes, blushers, shape tape eye primer and have bought a few great gifts. They often have offers on too.

The TOWIE types where too much concealer.

Honestly I didn't rate it. Didn't find anything spectacular about it at all compared to all the hype. Incredibly similar to revolution conceal and define which is a fraction of the price. Same goes for nars and ysl high coverage, overhyped but average performance. Favourites are still bourgeois (rip!) and maybelline eraser. Just took delivery of it cosmetics bye bye undereye so fingers crossed!

GCAcademic · 31/03/2020 23:33

I hate them. They used to do an absolutely amazing cheek stain, and then discontinued it. The bastards.

Girlintheframe · 01/04/2020 06:41

I've only ever tried the eyeshadow and I love them! Rich pigmented colour that stays on all day.

Fuckiveranoutofpasta · 01/04/2020 06:57

I use the Amazonian clay blushes and love them. I bought two shades about three years ago, they are the only blushes I use and I haven’t hit pan yet! They last all day which I’ve never found with other blushers. They usually always fade to nothing by lunch. I also bought the brush to go with them and it’s a very good brush. No fall out and it’s still immaculate (when I wash it).

I do think they are hit and miss

I’ve not been impressed with
Eyeshadow palettes
Foundation
Lips

Mixed reviews then😆.
Whoever said about shape rape & not knowing shade-I'm the same. Without testing Rud be reluctant to spend £20 on a concealer.
But I really do like the look of their double ended face brush. It appeals as I am useless at doing make up & don't do buffing/blending etc so thinking this might help me improve?!

Shape tape not rape. Christ that's an autocorrect & a half

The blushers are brilliant. Great pigment and staying power.

BunnytheBee · 01/04/2020 13:07

I say go for it when they have an offer

Sign up for their emails and they often do 25% or free shipping and they usually have some stuff in the sale section so you can get a few things to try for a good price

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 01/04/2020 15:15

I think Revolution do a dupe for shape tape, reviews suggest it's exactly the same. If it is then it's not worth money imo.

Thighmageddon · 01/04/2020 15:18

QVC do Tarte. I'd buy from there because you then have the 30 day guarantee if you don't like something.

Dozer · 01/04/2020 15:21

The discontinued cheek stain was v good, the new cheek stick things not.

BunnytheBee · 01/04/2020 16:24

QVC is a good shout

Deathraystare · 02/04/2020 08:40

I have used the shape tape concealer (but not beneath the eyes - my eyes water too much all the time!)

I like the foundation , the shadows and lipstick.

Chrestomanciscat · 02/04/2020 09:11

I use shape tape over the colour core t undereye concealer and found them to be very good indeed. I have very bad shadows, and eye rings and have found this to be great coverage with a small amount and good staying power. I've tried pretty much everything else except the Laura Mercier which is supposed to be good - and this is my fave. Would love to try the blusher next. Cx

Bananaman123 · 03/04/2020 22:47

Love tarte but not shape tape, just a bjt thick for me, sticky and doesnt look good on my eye wrinkles. The mascara, foundation eyeshadows i really like.

The lipsticks are lovely but i seem to be allergic as the corners of my mouth get so sore when i wear them

Bananaman123 · 03/04/2020 22:47

Got 2 christmas brush kits few years ago, best ive ever used

Staywithmemyblood · 03/04/2020 22:51

My DD really loves her makeup, and shape tape concealer is one of her fave's. I buy from QVC too

TrudysTerribleFringe · 03/04/2020 23:09

I love Tarte, their foundations and eyeshadow are brilliant.

I have shape tape concealer but I find it settles in my fine lines under my eyes, I am almost 34 though.

I recommend QVC they often have it on easy pay too.

LunchBoxPolice · 03/04/2020 23:42

I love shape tape concealer, it’s the best under eye concealer that I’ve tried and it lasts all day.
