Do Birkenstocks trump when you walk?

caffeinefix · 31/03/2020 15:54

As the title says really. I would love a paid but worried they'll trump when I walk! I also have narrow feet and noticed they have narrow sizes - would this help the issue?

Thanks 😊

No they don’t Trump.
I have narrow feet and go down a size. I love them.

Beamur · 31/03/2020 16:18

My generally don't trump. But I have noticed it occasionally if feet are damp.
Absolutely love mine. They are what I wear most of the summer.

ZaraW · 31/03/2020 16:44

No never happened and I've been wearing them for over ten years.

ElspethFlashman · 31/03/2020 16:52

No definitely not. I think that mainly happens with rubber soles rather than cork.

My Crocs used to embarrass the hell out of me!

browzingss · 31/03/2020 16:55

No never

Not sure why but I always seem to trip up when wearing mine - I have 2 pairs

Cheerbear23 · 31/03/2020 20:16

Ha ha ha, no I’ve never thought that and I’m an avid buyer of Birkenstock

Sadiesnakes · 01/04/2020 06:52

Only when your feet are wet/ damp.

caffeinefix · 01/04/2020 07:24

Thanks everyone. I will treat myself when this is all over Smile

Yes mine do, terribly!!

LilyRose88 · 01/04/2020 15:24

I have some of the plastic ones and they definitely trump. I only wear them around the house in the summer and occasionally on the beach. They are too embarrassing to wear in public. They also make a squeaky noise in between the trumps.

muckycat · 02/04/2020 21:28

lol'ing at this brilliant thread! Grin

CompleteBarstool · 02/04/2020 21:31

Mine do sometimes

BobbinThreadbare123 · 02/04/2020 21:40

Ha yes occasionally mine make a farty noise, but I've a very high arch so I guess air gets trapped and then I squash it.
Also v narrow feet so I size down.

caffeinefix · 02/04/2020 22:21

Ha ha glad this is making some of you chuckle.

I can't wait to get some but will try some on, I won wear then if they trump.

Are the ones with a toe post or straps better?

caffeinefix · 02/04/2020 22:23

Goodness I can't flipping type. I won't wear them...

I prefer the ones with a toe post - mayari is my favourite style and I walk miles in them.

ExpletiveDelighted · 03/04/2020 08:38

I've got about 5 pairs and one of them does sometimes (Arizona). My Gizehs and Mayaris (both toe post styles) don't. I also have high arches and I have to have them strapped snugly to my feet because I can get flare-ups of plantar fasciitis if I have them flapping about. It's not that noisy though, you wouldn't notice it out and about, the only time I'm conscious of it is if I walk through our big shared office at work which is almost totally silent.

PurpleBlueAnemone · 03/04/2020 08:44

Sometimes. I also have high arches.
I love my birkies and can walk and walk in them all summer.

TheMandalorian · 03/04/2020 08:44

You could amend them with a glue gun somehow so air doesnt get trapped.
