Acne after skin peel

I had my first ever skin peel a couple of weeks ago (a superficial Mandelic acid peel at a clinic). I now have awful acne on my chin, which is upsetting as my chin was clear for the first time in years prior to the peel. Is it normal to get acne after a peel, and how long will it last?

I don't know if it's normal, but I got terrible cystic acne after a peel that took nearly a year to clear up. If it doesn't clear for you ask the doctors to prescribe duac cream.
