Is anyone cutting their own hair during lockdown?

And if so what is the best approach. I normally have shoulder length slightly layered hair. I have seen the ponytail at the front of the head approach on YouTube. Very grateful for any tips from folk that have cut their own hair. I do have a proper scissors.

I get my hair cut every 4 weeks and it was due to be done the week of lockdown. I have the sides clipped really short and the top thinned out as my hair is really thick.

I hate it once it starts to grow out so got DH to clip the back and sides and I sort of cut and thinned the top. The back doesn't look great and my hairdresser will have a fit but it feels much better
