Haven't seen my hairdresser DSin law for quite some time & the grey is taking over. Whilst I'm not overly fussed about it I fancied a change & the Nutrisse cooper brown dye was half price when doing my shopping on Fri.
Looking for any hints or tips for a first timer so I don't make a total mess of it. Have DD13 to help & have already done a patch test so DDay tomorrow night!

Phone the hairdresser and ask her advice.

I'd follow the instructions on the pack to the letter.
Wear clothes you don't mind staining, and clean up spillages and drips so you don't end up staining your face or bathroom.

Cover your forehead, ears and neck in vaseline or coconut oil so it doesn't stain your face, if you have a small brush that could be used to apply the dye around your face it makes sure you get all the hairs evenly around your face and roots, best of luck with it x

@MikeUniformMike Both my DSin law hairdresser & DSis (also hairdresser) have tried to dissuade me lol

Hmm, doesn't that tell you something.

I've not tried dyeing my hair at home for a long time. I'd be more inclined to use the semi-permanent ones as they just fade away.

What puts me off is the thought of having 'roots' after a few weeks,

I'd just do it - you might love the results.
