Where to find affordable basic tops (preferably online)

Because I’m younger, I’m only really familiar with fast fashion and cheap online brands and wouldn’t know where to start looking beyond this.

I need a set of basic, soft jersey long sleeve crew neck tops in plain colours and also a striped one (90s style narrow multi coloured stripes, not wide ones). Not super tight, but tight/close fitting. Not quite cropped, but not too long either - ideally will hit just below belly button (I’m 5’9). Hate it when slim fitting tops have excess material and bunch up at my hips but also don’t want to keep pulling it down to cover my stomach

Sounds simple, but they’re impossible to find Grin - I can only find shirts on cheap online shops, where they’re usually cropped and too low cut and also shit quality, or super expensive high quality ones that are still too relaxed/loose fitting for me

Any recommendations? Thank you :)

I’ve got quite a lot of what you are looking for from Uniqlo, Matalan and Primark. All of them have great range of colors. Ive got a couple from Boden but find the others are better quality and wash better (keep shape and colour really well). Ive found Primark particularly good for stripes/Breton. I’m 5ft 10 and also hate the bunching up around belly button.

You can order online from Matalan and Uniqlo. As far as I know Primark are not online but I guess that could change if they have to stay closed for a while.

Gap. Always offers on, wash well. Size down - I'm a 10/12 and a Small in the jersey tops is nicely fitted on me.

Anything here? LandsEnd

I like these from Jigsaw. Not cheap but I wait until they have 20% off. They wash and keep their shape really well, so I'd rather have one of these than three cheap ones.

Uniqlo are great for basics. Their website isn’t the best but the quality of their tops is usually great. Jumpers etc good too. Some styles are a bit quirky but for basics they are reliable.

Seasalt striped cotton long sleeved t-shirts. They're usually on a multibuy offer, they're ethically made, great quality and lots of different colours.
