Anyone shaved their hair?

Now this is something I've wanted to do for a long time but don't exactly think I have the face for it. But now seems the perfect time? Has anyone done it and loved it/regretted it? Any pictures? Thanks all! X

I used to shave my head in my 20s. I did have a smart office job but it wasn't a problem (well, I wasn't told it was a problem).
It was totally liberating to not have to think about my hair. It feels lovely too. I love short hair on women. Go for it. If not now, when?

Raffathebear · 26/03/2020 08:11

My hair is one of my best features so i wouldnt but its a good time.

dementedma · 26/03/2020 08:15

I may be tempted. I have short dyed hair which grows ridiculously quickly and is thick and untameable. It just grows up and out. I will have to do something in about a fortnight as we have twice weekly video calls for work and I will look deranged if I let it grow.
Gave DS the once over with the clippers yesterday and it looked ok.

I’m off work til June at least. Teacher. Worried that if it goes wrong/looks awful I won’t be able to get to a hairdresser to help me. 😬

OneOfTheGrundys · 26/03/2020 09:44

But still considering it.

ninox3 · 26/03/2020 09:51

Just do it. If you don't like it. It's always going to grow back isn't it, bonus is we're in lock down anyway so you've time for that to happen, and you can wear wigs if you fancy having hair that day etc can have a different colour and style everyday then ontop of your shaved head. GENIUS

Loads of fun possibilities with it and you don't have the farse of washing it an drying it an even brushing it. Imagen the air to your head. Be brilliant !!! Xx

Nooo because you'll go from Shaved-to-Pixie (which is nice)

Then you'll want to grow it and go from Pixie-to-Justin Bieber ( in his "Baby Baby Baby oooh days ) . Not a look to aspire to.

Then it's The Mullet Shock

If you cannot get hairdresser intervention along the way , this is the sad inevitable outcome .
I grew my hair out . Its a one length bob now (boring but I'll cope)

I saw my reflection getting out of the shower and I looked like Boaby the Barman from Still Game . I am still trying to recover !!

I'm planning on doing an undercut on myself when the clippers turn up Grin

Any tips appreciated...

MaryBoBary · 05/04/2020 18:50

Did you do it OP?

ditavonteesed · 05/04/2020 18:53

I've just done mine today, on thread in s&b before and after pics. I would say def do it I feel liberated and have had nothing but positive responses.

ChocolateCakeMix · 05/04/2020 19:37

I saw your other thread, it looks amazing, I bet it feels so good!

It made me laugh what you said about phoning your mum, mine would definitely think I had lost it Grin

ditavonteesed · 05/04/2020 19:54

@ChocolateCakeMix it does feel amazing, dc keep coming downstairs just to stroke it. Op should definitely do it.

NorahsBatty · 05/04/2020 19:56

Me.

And I'm mid 30s and a size 22.

Did it a few weeks ago.

Love it

Seventyone72seventy3 · 05/04/2020 19:58

I'm tempted but most pics I see, the women use a lot of make up. I don't wear make up and the skin on my scalp is irritated. I think it has the potential to look very, very bad.

raspberryjo · 05/04/2020 20:24

Just looked at it dita, looks amazing! I'm still very tempted. I wimped out and cut it into very short bob Grin
