Best type of tweezers?

I need to get some tweezers to do my eyebrows, I get them waxed every fortnight and faithfully promise my nail and eyebrow lady that I'll never touch them with tweezers and leave it to her. So I've never done this before.
I've seen there are thee different types: pointed tip, straight tip and slanted tip. Which type would be best to pluck eyebrows?

I use straight tip as I find they grip individual hairs the best.

I swear by tweezer man tweezers with a slanted tip

Ladybirdbookworm · 25/03/2020 15:23

Tweezerman ...never found a pair that compare.
Just noticed that rhymes Grin

Tweezerman is great, though I mainly use it to get splinters out of my kids feet

ValkyrieCain · 25/03/2020 15:42

Tweezerman slanted. The only choice. Expensive but worth every penny.

Rubis is even better than Tweezerman (they even make tweezers for Swiss watchmakers). Everything else is a crude stick in comparison.

I've never liked tweezerman but boots own brand are amazingly good.

Thanks for all the replies. I don't want to spend a lot as hopefully it won't be for long, but I do want a pair that are good and will work.

I only ever use the pointy sharp ones-I have a good pair from Barbara Daly.

TheQueef · 25/03/2020 17:21

Tweezerman. I've just had men sharpened (free) after 9 years.
They are an investment, I also prefer a slant.

EdithHope · 25/03/2020 17:27

Rubis, I've had mine for 20 years and they're still super sharp.

PineappleTart · 25/03/2020 17:29

Tweezerman are fantastic

QuakingQuiche · 25/03/2020 22:53

Tweezerman and I think they come with some sort of sharpening guarantee where you can send them back to get it resharpened if they go blunt with usage over time.
