Teen bleaching then colouring hair

So teen DD has very dark brown hair (half Asian, naturally straight, silky, dark hair).

She stupidly put some black Swarzkofp(?) semi permanent dye through it a month ago, it made bits of her hair slightly darker but not much. I don't know why she did that, stupid because what she actually wants now is purple or blue hair.

I know that with hair like hers she will need to bleach it first before any colour will take. But is it complicated by the black dye?

What kind of bleach can she get to lighten her hair before she tries for purple or blue?

Or shall I just leave her to it and try not to kill her when she wrecks the bathroom (again)?

If she removes the Semi -P dye first with Colour B4 or Vit C and Head&Shoulders then she should get back to where she started .
Thank your lucky stars she didn't use a permanent dye Wink

The Vit C does work. I used some with a Superdrug dandruff shampoo and it didn't wreck my hair but it did remove the unwanted colour (mine was Mahogany aka purple ) . Black might take more than one treatment to shift .

I'm guessing your DD is doing this now because there's no school? How old is she?

How does she intend to remedy the onslaught that will befall her hair after she'd bleached it then coloured it .........then got bored and wants to reverse it ?

If she's under 16 , I'd say "No way" to her , there's a reason salons put an age limit on dye .

My DD is nearly 18 and uses a Shade 4 Semi Permenant . It does fade evenly , no root regrowth. But she needs my help .
And she does a patch test + strand test every time .

So she can't complain to me if she doesn't like it .
I know people say "Its their hair" or "Its only hair" but if you need to fix hair , its a long slog

Hi @70isaLimitNotaTarget thanks for the Colour b4 suggestion.

I'm guessing (I know nothing about hair colouring!) that she will still need to bleach her hair before putting a colour onto it?

Do you have any suggestions for the bleaching part pls?

And yes, she's over 16 and we've talked about how it's only hair, she's got months off school, and after all she can cut it all off if it turns into a disaster :) Thank you for your help.

My Asian friend had her hair bleached- it looked really cool, but her head got all burnt by the bleach, so was all scabby (due to prolonged bleach because of her hair being dark), and after she has her roots done by t all started breaking off and she had to have most of it cropped off.
