Are pointy shoes a thing again?

Or did they never go out of fashion?

I’ve spent a few years in just trainers and round toes. I have wide feet so they were comfy but I spotted these on ASOS and really like them.

Any opinions??

They're really nice. I've been wearing pointy shoes to work since the summer. My fat legs look ridiculous in round toes.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 22/03/2020 10:23

Pointy toes give me clown feet :(

RogueV · 22/03/2020 10:23

Yea they are

Purplecatshopaholic · 22/03/2020 10:24

Go for it, they are lovely. Pointies are always more flattering than round toes I think

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/03/2020 10:24

Hmm. My feet are very grateful that for many years I had to wear a very dull sensible uniform shoe. Twas annoying at the time, but. Can't see me going this way, however elegant they look.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 22/03/2020 10:26

I bet the people who like pointy toes have smaller feet than me.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 22/03/2020 10:30

I've got quite a few pointy flats and they're all very comfortable. I love 'em. I'm a size 7 Muddy, so fairly large of foot!

Drinkandknowthings · 22/03/2020 10:39

I’ve got a size 5.5 foot. Which means sometimes I have to size down to 5, sometimes up to 6. I liked buying ‘juniors’ trainers in 5.5 but starting to want to upgrade a bit.

I've always like pointed shoes and wore them when hardly anyone else did. Theyre much more flattering on my short, chunky legs!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/03/2020 11:21

TBF, they are nice shoes in the link, and not the winkle-pickers I had imagined. shows age :)

BeetrootRocks · 22/03/2020 11:25

They are nice shoes

I like pointy shoes as I have pointy feet Grin - I have a second toe that's longer than my big toe by a fair bit and that seems to make them fit my narrow feet better!

JollyGiraffe12 · 22/03/2020 11:35

I love pointy shoes the ones in the link look really elegant - go for it!

BelleharePenguin09 · 22/03/2020 12:04

Have always loved them but recently have been doing a brogue thing.

BelleharePenguin09 · 22/03/2020 12:06

Better in leather or suede though.

goose1964 · 22/03/2020 22:05

I have "Greek toes" and pointed shoes are no good as they squeeze the toes from the sides.

Ikeameatballs · 22/03/2020 22:11

I really like those. I wore pointed flats last summer, I think they look fab with a bare ankle.

JaceLancs · 22/03/2020 22:46

I have small feet and pointy toes balance my huge legs!

Are pointy shoes a thing again?
IAmLegendaryExtra · 22/03/2020 22:57

@JaceLancs those shoes are super cute Smile

willowpatterns · 22/03/2020 23:02

They look fine on my feet. I just can't walk in them, which makes them somewhat redundant.

PickAChew · 22/03/2020 23:05

Who the hell is going to see your feet to care?

Pointy shoes are dreadful for your feet, anyhow. Treat them well.

JaceLancs · 22/03/2020 23:05

Thank you @IAmLegendaryExtra they are Valentino and bright bright pink to match my nails
We all need as much cheer as possible at the moment

ILikeyourHairyHands · 23/03/2020 00:50

Toes!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 23/03/2020 00:53

Shoe.

Are pointy shoes a thing again?
CountFosco · 23/03/2020 08:30

Pointy shoes are dreadful for your feet, anyhow.

Not if they are flats and fit well. I have wide fit pointy toes shoes from M&S (few years old now) and they are supremely comfortable, no toe squashing required!

BeetrootRocks · 23/03/2020 10:59

Are they bad for your feet if you have pointy feet Grin

The assumption that everyone has the same shape feet is rife in society. It's such a burden Grin

Seriously round end shoes are often uncomfortably as to get them to not hurt my long second toe, I have to get larger than I need, and my feet are narrow so it's even worse.

Some people just enjoy telling others off Grin they should walk a mile in my shoes Wink
