What have you used that you just can't do without/made a big difference to your skin?

I've just found squalene extract. It's fantastic! That and Vit C have made the biggest difference to me.

Skinceuticals serum 10. Expensive, but definitely worth it.

Bella2020 · 18/03/2020 19:26

Kate Somerville's Dermal Quench Liquid Lift. It's an anti-aging serum. I love it, but need to save up for each bottle!

Lily193 · 18/03/2020 20:32

Tretinoin has made my skin fresh, luminous and youthful.

KatharinaRosalie · 18/03/2020 20:54

Paula's Choice BHA exfoliator

ageingdisgracefully · 18/03/2020 20:56

Revitalift laser renew. I swear by it. Even my neck looks better!

I wish I could get hold of Tretinoin though...Sad

Polkadotpjs · 18/03/2020 21:01

How do you use the vitamin c? I got some but other than burning, no difference

Sammi38 · 18/03/2020 21:34

@Polkadotpjs what percentage of vitamin c is in your product?

The serum 10 is 10% vitamin c. I was using one with 15% but it gave me terrible breakouts.

ChocRasp · 18/03/2020 21:50

2 weeks I started on a low strength Retinol 0.3% and already my face looks less wrinkly.

Russellbrandshair · 18/03/2020 21:52

Voloom hair tool. If you have fine limp hair this tool is INCREDIBLE as it gives amazing volume

Russellbrandshair · 18/03/2020 21:53

Oh oops - sorry you said skin! In that case my derma pen. Like a dermaroller but better

Forensy · 18/03/2020 21:54

Body shop aloe overnight mask. It’s the only thing that works on my dry occasionally flakey face at the moment, I’m slapping it on like moisturiser most nights.

Make up wise it’s rimmel hide the blemish concealer, it’s unparalleled.

Barkingfuckingdogs · 19/03/2020 13:31

Ageing - you can easily get hold of tret. Go to a dermatologist for a prescription, buy from abroad, get from dermatica or order on eBay from Asia.

Terralee · 19/03/2020 17:36

Right now I'm a bit spotty (lovely) so finding my Clinique anti blemish gel to be effective!

ageingdisgracefully · 19/03/2020 19:30

Thanks Barking. I'll have to dig deep in my pockets. Smile

Barkingfuckingdogs · 19/03/2020 19:38

Nah, just take your chances on an eBay purchase!! Costs about a tenner. Takes ages to come but it's worth it.

LellyMcKelly · 19/03/2020 20:37

A big dark blue pot of Nivea. The Proper old fashioned stuff. Put a dollop on when you get out of the shower and your skin is still warm. It moisturises like nothing else.

Girlintheframe · 19/03/2020 21:49

I use the ordinary 23% vit c and Timeless 20%. I was getting spots but finally figured out it wasn't the vit C but that I wasn't taking off my spf properly.
Oh I'm getting a derma roller to try out.
Would love to try the skincuticals serums but would need to sell a kidney first Grin

Success! Tretinoin successfully ordered from Pharmacy Geoff!

Hope it arrives. Grin

Thanks Barking.

Barkingfuckingdogs · 20/03/2020 10:39

Girls - I've used skinceuticals before and it wasn't all that fab, so don't think you're missing out!!

Ageing - yippee!!!! Remember to go easy at first. Every other night and buffer until you build up tolerance. Alternatively, you could just slap it on and accelerate through the red, peeling phrase whilst we're all in lockdown. You will emerge with the peachy complexion of a teenager!!!

ageingdisgracefully · 20/03/2020 11:27

Can't wait, Barking. Thanks for the tip.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 20/03/2020 12:05

Coconut oil Smile

The Ordinary niacinimide has made a big difference to my spotty skin and visible pores
