Removing hair extensions

I just had quite expensive hair extensions put in two weeks ago - I was due to travel this week and had several events/meetings lined up, and they are all now obviously cancelled.

The hair extensions will technically last for 3 months, but what would you do? Would you keep them on regardless of being home-bound (I don't go out at all and work from home)? Would you take the extensions out this week, as the salon may shut in the next few weeks as the virus gets worse?

I just spent so much money on it I don't feel like taking it out now, but feel like that's the right thing to do!

To be honest, it’s really up to you.

Taking them out now just because no one will see them is just incurring an unnecessary cost (salon appointment) in my opinion. However if you’re taking them out because they’re uncomfortable or too high maintenance then fair enough.

You’ll need to get a refit at some point, the length of time depends on your hair regrowth rate and the type of extensions. Maybe wait until your refit appointment instead?

I’m sure others will see your hair within the next 3 months - think social media posts or FaceTime, and eventually social restrictions will ease. But if you’re set on removing them, take very good care of your extensions so you can reuse them when you’re more social.
