Root Touch Up

Anyone else find the colours really flat? I have dark brown hair that I colour with an auburn colour. Red touch up is almost ginger and brown is dark and flat. I can't afford hairdresser to so every four weeks. Anyone found a decent brand?

I buy a full size hair dye, then mix a third of the colour with a third of developer liquid in an old applicator bottle and use for root touch ups.

I also buy a full size box and use a 4th of each product which is enough for my roots. I mix it in a plastic bowl and use a tinting brush. Much cheaper.

Isn't there a lot of wastage? Or do you mean you resell the bottles?
