Which lumea is the best?

I'm going to get one. Entirely based on MN. Which one though? Boots have the Lumea prestige on offer for 325 down from 475. Is this the best one? I've no idea? What do the wise folk of MN recommend?
Mainly want this for legs and then maybe underarms. Might consider a rogue chin hair thereafter if I dare?

Bumping for you as I’d like to know too!

BRI950/00 or BRI953/00 - as highest spec and both can be used either cordless or charged.

Thank you. The latter is the one that is 325 in Boots. I'll see if I can find a better price anywhere else, otherwise I'll go for it.

I didn't find the Lumea very effective. Reviews also suggested the cordless ones could die after a few months if they weren't kept charged.

I got a corded Smoothskin Gold which was then billed as the most powerful on the market and I've had very good results with it.

@Cathyorclaire that's interesting. There's also a braun silk at a similar price point. Ah man, so confusing

If you have the Lumea cordless only (the models I mentioned were dual cordless/corded), then you need to charge every couple of months. You can't use it on freckles or if you have a pacemaker. Very effective imo, there's a reason they are pretty popular on Mumsnet.

If anything happens to my Lumea, I may look at smoothskin.

Whichoneisthebest · 15/03/2020 17:44

Good advice. I'll avoid my freckles and I am pacemaker free. Now that smoothskin has been introduced into my eyeline I'm frantically reading all the reviews. I'm happy to invest 300 odd quid into my legs and pits for the right piece for kit.
Hard to go past a lumea tho from what I've read.

If you do get the Lumea, I'd recommend getting a white* eye pencil to cover freckles that are harder to avoid (Boots Natural Collection is a good cheapie option).

*It has to be white
