Find me lovely trainers please!

Most important information first - I have size 3 feet so ranges that start at size 4 are no good to me!

I think I want white trainers, but with a pop of colour on them - e.g. maybe a rose gold stripe or star or something.

Ideally water resistant and not easily stainable because I don't want to only be able to wear them on totally dry sunny days...

I'd wear with skinny jeans (blue, black or grey) or black pleather leggings or long pleated skirt.

Budget up to £100, maybe more for perfect pair.

Oh, and thank you 😊

I'm looking at getting the Veja Campus - I've searched for over a year for exactly what you're after.

I think you probably need 3-4 different pairs to cover all looks!

NotBeingFunnyOrAnything · 14/03/2020 08:27

Campo! Not campus....Grin

BadEyeBri · 14/03/2020 08:28

I am addicted to Nike air max 95s. Not everyone's cup of tea though.

NotBeingFunnyOrAnything · 14/03/2020 08:30

I'm getting them with silver V

missyB1 · 14/03/2020 08:30

I will try and post a link of the ones I’m going to get. They do start from a 3 and I know from experience trainers from there are soooo comfy, I have another pair that I wear to work all day.

I hope the link works but if not they are called “chase” from hotter.

TooMinty · 14/03/2020 09:44

Veja Campo look like a possibility - I can't afford multiple pairs though so will have to try and pick a colour that suits most occasions/outfits

Airmax looks comfy but a bit too sporty for my general style I think.

Not keen on the hotter ones, sorry.

Has anyone tried Boden trainers? They had a pair I liked the look of, but not sure about quality/comfort.

Thanks for all suggestions!

I have these which are v comfy and wipe down well. They do other colours but this is the basic style of how they look. Size 3 (I checked!)

Ooh, just stumbled on Stan Smiths with rose gold but smallest size is 3.5. Might be worth trying them on though?

OP posts:
XingMing · 14/03/2020 15:53

An innersole might help if they're half a size too big but otherwise perfect.

Verite1 · 14/03/2020 16:31

If it helps, I’m normally a 5, but wear Stan Smiths in 6, so a 3.5 might be ok.

Gemma2019 · 14/03/2020 16:50

Kurt Geiger rainbow trainers - they have side stripes in several different colours. I've got two pairs.

Sooverthemill · 14/03/2020 17:33

I love my Stan smiths. Really comfy. I got a half size bigger than my normal size. I wear a lot. I also wear whistles and jigsaw trainers a lot ( I dint work so trainers are my main shoes). Very comfortable. I have Veja campo on my birthday list. I do buy Boden shoes but never got in with their trainers though 'Emily' gets good reviews as do the John Lewis own brand ones

CarrotPuff · 14/03/2020 19:16

I have Stan Smith and I'm size 3. You just need a junior size.

Chrestomanciscat · 14/03/2020 20:16

I've got these: www.gola.co.uk/womens-grandslam-trident-trainer-p321
And also Sam Smith's.
You're lucky cus you can fit the youth/child cheaper range!

CountFosco · 14/03/2020 21:44

I've had Boden trainers in the past. They were decent qualitybut I went through the heels fairly quickly and I've heard their shoe quality has gone down. M&S is cheaper but is good quality, I've heard good things about Mint Velvet as well.

Otherwise I have Stan Smiths with the green flash which are very comfortable and I'm.sure do child's sizes. I also have completely white Veja Esplar which I bought specifically because my Stan Smiths didn't go with everything.

TooMinty · 15/03/2020 07:33

I can't believe I didn't think of Junior sizes for Stan Smiths 🤦🏻

Not sure if I can carry off the Kurt Geiger rainbow but there's some star ones that look promising. Plus a sale on if anyone else is looking!

Or I could blow the budget on these?

Maybe the leopard print version would go with jeans and pleather leggings?

OP posts:
Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 07:54

@TooMinty hush trainers are really good quality. I can't remember who makes them for them but they consistently get good reviews. I've not splashed out yet but may do!

TooMinty · 15/03/2020 08:00

Oh I'm really tempted now! Just slightly worried about them looking too clumpy on me as I'm only 5ft tall.

OP posts:
Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 08:03

Try it, good returns and very good customer reviews

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 08:07

@TooMinty if you've not bought anything from hush before I have a £20 off referral code. PM me (because I'd need to know your real name and address)

feelingchange · 15/03/2020 08:08

Peacocks have some like you are describing but I don't know how small they go
