Just had a book through and not tried their products for years, is there anything worth buying?
Thanks

Skin so soft dry oil spray. Not only is it an amazing mosquito repellent but it makes your skin so soft!!

BidieIn · 13/03/2020 17:59

I use an eye cream and moisturiser from Avon following recommendations on here. I like them.

Icecreamdiva · 13/03/2020 18:40

I love the glimmer stick fine eyeliner pencils. They are very smooth and don’t dry out the way a lot of eyepencils do.

Standrewsschool · 13/03/2020 18:44

Another vote for glimmerstick eyeliners.

Also like their eye shadow.

ChicCroissant · 13/03/2020 18:54

Agree with the PP about eye and brow glimmersticks, no sharpening either. The shower gels are nice too.

StegosaurusRex · 13/03/2020 19:25

I don't wear make up except for special occasions, so I don't usually have strong feelings about products and don't care as long as they vaguely do the job, but glimmersticks are amazing!! So easy for even me to use and it lasts really well. They also used to do a surprisingly good mascara with a brush thing that bends and is shaped like your eye - I'm describing this horribly, but it looks like half an eyelash curler. Anyway, if they still make it it's amazing. Goes on really easily, spreads lashes out and doesn't clump

StegosaurusRex · 13/03/2020 19:25

Oh, it's red, too if that helps. The case not the mascara obvs!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 13/03/2020 19:44

That dry oil is shit as a mozzie repellent (tried in a tropical region) and makes you smell like a 1930s ladies knicker drawer.

LHMBF · 13/03/2020 19:45

The Glimmerstick eye and brow liners are brilliant. And the cream to powder foundation. I like the Advance Techniques hair serums too when I'm on a budget and can't afford the top brand salon names

ChicCroissant · 13/03/2020 19:55

The dry shampoo was good as well, I wonder if they still do that? I got some in a pack of things for summer.

I've wondered about the cream to powder foundation, tempted now ...

Hello1290 · 13/03/2020 21:45

Anew skincare range is good.

DollyPartonsBeard · 14/03/2020 09:11

I use the Mark setting spray and primer, as budget products they're great. The glimmerstick brow pencil in Brunette is a great shade for me, and nice and thin-tipped.

My favourite thing from Avon is the Timeless perfume, it smells like the 1970s and it's only a fiver. It's not going to be to everyone's taste but I love it.

fizznchips · 14/03/2020 09:17

I agree re glimmerstick eyeliner, I also love the eyeshadow primer as my eyelids are quite greasy

Chimchimcharoo · 14/03/2020 09:28

The big pots of multipurpose cream. I used to repeat sell all the time as a rep. So I tried some and now I repeat buy. Haven’t been a rep for some years now. I also love the raspberry naturals shampoo. I might mix up shampoo every now and then but nothing makes my hair feel nicer than this. Cream to powder foundation and mark concealer are also my repeat buys from Avon.

Deathraystare · 18/03/2020 13:09

Hate the perfumes. Avon did good ones in the 70's. Very individual. Now it is watery florals all smelling the same with loads of cheap vanilla in them.

Hate the lipsticks too. In fact if it wasn't for the Glimmersticks I wouldn't buy from them at all!

ittooshallpass · 18/03/2020 19:05

Anew range is good. I especially like the eye cream.

Another thumbs up for the glimmerstick eye pencils too.

Kids range of fruit shampoos and 'paint' shower gels are great as well. Often only £1 each in the sale. My DD loved them.
