What’s your skin like?
I’m quite invested in the whole thing / subject. I use Tretinoin and SPF. Good quality cheaper stuff mixed in.
I’ve been lucky to have been blessed with good skin though, and it was fine before l started messing with it. 🤣
Just couldn’t not try my best to preserve what l have at 48 l suppose!?

I was never very spotty as a teenager and grew up in a rural area in the far north and have fair freckly skin so a) didn't have a lot of sun exposure (never sunbathed and foreign holidays are spent in museums rather than on the beach) and b) grew up in a culture where women didn't wear a lot of makeup. I have never smoked and don't drink to excess (I'm a lightweight!). I am a scientist so no pressure to wear makeup at work, I don't dye my hair either but at 50 I don't have many greys yet.

I did cleanse tone moisturise as a young adult but TBH I saw no change to how my skin was either before or after I had a regular routine. Now I wash my face with water (and sometime soap) and use E45 on it (I swim every day and the chlorine is quite drying). I look about my age for someone of my education and financial situation. I'm sure my diet and exercise regime has more impact on my appearance than anything I put on my skin.
