I'm buying a cardigan (hopefully if in stock) on H&M I think I need a Uk 16 as I've just had a baby. What would this be in their letter sizes ., I don't want it tight would it be XL ?

I find H&M to be really funny for sizes!

I'm a 16 mostly

Iv got a little crochet type cardigan to go over dresses that fitted me as a m and a jumper that fired as an m but is a bit short on me but a top that needed to be an xl so I always try on now before buying anything.

Ginkypig · 12/03/2020 14:59

Sorry I know that's not helpful

H&M sizes are all over the place I've got various items of clot6from there ranging from a size 8 to a 16. I'm normally a 12 Confused

H&M have no rhyme, reason or logic for their sizing. You need to try it on.

onlyconnect · 12/03/2020 18:32

I think they're a bit small compared to somewhere like Next or White Stuff so maybe size up.

I am an H&M anomaly in that I find it runs big on me. I have the cotton fitted cardigans in a s or a m and I'm a short, short waisted hourglass/pear size 14.

I have tops and jumpers in m and l but xl is always too big.

I am short and squashy though. Like a little gnome.

That literally didn't help at all did it.

LellyMcKelly · 13/03/2020 05:03

H&M sizes are made up, even the same top in a different colour come up differently. You’ll probably need to try it on. Their cotton cardis are nice, good value, simple, and really good quality, so worth trying on for fit.

Sorry names changed but What size would you estimate L to be then? I'm ordering online, of course can return but would like to try get the best size

homemadecommunistrussia · 13/03/2020 20:04

I am a 16 and wear the XL mostly for room in the sleeves, otherwise I might get away with a L.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 14/03/2020 07:56

I would say xl would be too big for a 16. Go for the L.

slinkysaluki · 17/03/2020 07:16

Im a 16 and size L fits perfectly
