Jumpsuits

Following on from a comment that @Mydogatemypurse replied to in the SBS thread - what are your opinions on jumpsuits? Does anyone actually look good in a jumpsuit???

Very rarely in my opinion. I feel they can often look ok from the front, but then you need a really good bum to pull them off from the back, otherwise your bum looks super gigantic - long and flat and just not very flattering at all. I really don't get the jumpsuit hype at all. I can't wait until this trend dies.

It definitely depends on the cut, if too short in the body then it can make your arse look huge! A belted one helps I think. You really need to try them on rather than buy online, some look great on the hanger and awful on a body! I had a gorgeous one for a wedding last year, though it was pricey it was well cut and suited my shape. Regardless of how they look on, they are a total pain when going to the bathroom!

Depends on the cut. You need to check the rear view. Loose unbelted styles are generally more forgiving.

I always get tons of compliments when I wear them, but I find them a faff and not that comfortable so rarely wear them!

They can be horrendously unflattering or amazingly flattering - depends on the cut and fit and your body shape. I have a hush sleeveless one that is really flattering - it's loose and flowy, but with nipped-in shirred waist. I have a long back and big bum so I was amazed that it works on me. OTOH I tried on a more fitted Mango one once and my arse and hips instantly looked twice the size.

They also tend to look better in darker colours IMO.

I look like a teletubby but have a tall, thin friend who looks amazing in them (and anything else she wears).

I look great in mine...

I wore one recently to a do with mixed-sex toilets. It was grim by the end of the evening. 🤮
