Do I have any options?

My teeth aren't good. I was in and out of care as a kid, and I don't remember brushing my teeth until I was 13/14. When I saw a dentist for the first time as an adult, I had quite a few fillings, including one on my front bottom tooth that is visible through the front of the tooth - it means the tooth is two-tone, with my natural tooth being off-white, and the visible filling being a strikingly different shade of off-white.

I have no ongoing tooth problems now - I suffer from a dry mouth as I take some medications, but I brush twice a day and floss often, and have passed my last few check-ups fine.

But I get married in 8 weeks and I can't imagine smiling in photos and showing off that tooth. I'm not sure if a veneer would be possible because none of my teeth are amazingly white, so it probably wouldn't match... and Google suggests the price of veneers can be up to £1k per tooth, which I can't really afford.

Is there any other options? I'm trying to get an appt to discuss it with my dentist, but they can't see me until 5 weeks before, and by then I'd need to have the money ready to go ahead I think.

What about composite binding on the tooth, it's like white filing that goes over the tooth.

It's quite cheap and gives good results.

It's hard to have such stark reminders of difficult times. You've clearly learned to look after yourself well. I don't have any practical suggestions, just wanted to wish you well on your big day.

Mention it to your photographer. It’s a really easy fix in photoshop (akin to blemish zapping/skin smoothing)

No advice sorry but I wanted to say congratulations on your wedding OP and I hope you have a wonderful day Flowers

Please ask your dentist about composite bonding. It is instant, cheap and makes a huge difference. If you google it you will see before and after pictures.
I had it done at £200 ish and I am so happy with the results

Thank you all so much Flowers it took me forever to check this because I was so worried about what people would think. I’m so ashamed by my teeth...

I’m going to google composite bonding now; and call up tomorrow to talk to the dentist about it. I feel like there might be an option!! I can’t say thank you enough.

Don't be ashamed OP, be proud of yourself and all you have come through. You're amazing and people will be looking at what a beautiful bride you are, they won't be criticising or noticing your teeth anyway. Hope you enjoy your wedding day Flowers

I had a filling in my front tooth replaced not long ago as it was old and discoloured, I also had them whitened (had a mould made at the dentist and did it at home with the 6% whitening gel) my teeth look loads better! It cost around £300 altogether (at a private dentist).
