IT Cosmetics CC cream, will I ever need moisturiser again??

Recently bought this foundation (is it a foundation?) and love it.

When I first started using it I also used a moisturiser first and wondered why my skin was so oily.

I've now realised I don't need to use moisturiser underneath as it is a moisturiser. Is this correct?

I'm 50 so the idea of not using a day moisturiser is strange!

I use moisturiser under it.

I also use toner, serums and SPF under it.

BaconAndAvocado · 07/03/2020 22:28

It has an SPF of 50....

I wonder why my skin doesn't like me using moisturiser with it?

I would definitely prefer to use it. Hmm.....

Maybe I'm using too much moisturiser?

I find it too greasy. It comes off on everything, and my face goes super shiny and oily looking. Maybe I have been using it wrong if it is also a moisturiser!

BaconAndAvocado · 07/03/2020 22:31

Greasy! That's the word I was looking for!

But my skin doesn't look greasy when I don't use moisturiser IYSWIM.

I thinking a great foundation. Good coverage.

Do you wait a while after putting moisturiser on before using it?

Yes it does have SPF, but less easy to know you have sufficient protection because it depends how much foundation you use, also I don't put make-up all over my neck.

There is also a matte version btw

I LOVE IT CC! I've been using it for quite a while. I use their Confidence is a Gel lotion under it and it's never been greasy for me. Their Bye Bye Under Eye concealer is excellent, too.

I went back to this recently having used it once and thinking the same.. Now though I find after applying a loose powder on top it is not too bad. The coverage is really quite good.

Girlintheframe · 08/03/2020 06:16

IT CC cream is apparently designed to be a foundation, moisterizer and sunscreen all in one. If it sits better without moisterizer I wouldn't bother with using one

I wear moisturiser and a separate SPF under it. I have good skin so only use one pump with a damp beauty blender. If I was putting enough on to moisturise and give sufficient SPF the coverage would be too heavy. I don't like to look like I'm wearing base, just that my skin looks naturally better.

BaconAndAvocado · 08/03/2020 09:36

There is also a matte version ah I didn't know that.

Think I'll continue to use the CC cream without moisturiser and then slather on the night cream!

So is this ok to wear without SPF. That would be fab in the summer. But not sure I feel confident doing so. Does it give the same amount of protection?

Housewife2010 · 08/03/2020 10:59

You'd have to use quite a lot to get the listed SPF.
