Eye crayon recommendations

Hi I have recently bought 3 eye crayons from a body shop ‘party’...

www.thebodyshop.com/makeup/eye-shadow/eye-colour-stick/p/p002140

I’ve never used eye crayons before but I’m absolutely loving them, because they are just so easy to use...

I use it as an eyeliner then let it ‘dry’ (even though it’s not wet) and it doesn’t smudge, stays put all day. Then I use the same or different colour as an eyeshadow and it smudges and blends brilliantly with my finger while ‘wet’

The only problem is they’re so glittery! So I’m looking to find something similar which is matte if anyone knows a good one please?

It really need it to be easy and quick to use with a couple of swipes or finger rubs.

Going shopping tmrw Smile Thank you!

Kiko?

Honeybee85 · 06/03/2020 00:10

Laura Mercier caviar sticks though technically they are more a stick then a crayon

HyperStella · 06/03/2020 00:37

Thank you!
I’ve never heard of kiko, can I find it in John Lewis?
Also is Laura Mercier in John Lewis?
I don’t have a Space NK or anything and would like to try on first

Avon used to do some, not sure if they still do as I haven't had a book through the door for ages.

Honeybee85 · 06/03/2020 10:24

Kiko is only sold in designated Kiko stores as far as I know. Laura Mercier is sold in many department stores with a smart cosmetics department, perhaps visit their website to check which locations.

HyperStella · 06/03/2020 11:34

Ah thank you

I have a MAC, are they worth a look?

@HyperStella

I used to be a great fan of MAC but apart from their lipglasses, not so much anymore now.
They started as theatre make up as far as I know and as much as I admire their colours, I feel they are sometimes a bit too intense for daily life.
But each their own and I know many MNers love MAC. I think Chanel has them too and I prefer their more understated approach to make up.

I love the GOSH ones in Superdrug. Bargainous!

DaftSkunk · 06/03/2020 19:24

The No7 ones are the bomb. They don't crease and last all day. Bought one on a whim and was really impressed.

Papergirl1968 · 06/03/2020 19:32

I’m looking for a crayon type eyeliner which goes on easily without having to drag it across.
M&S used to do a fab one but I think it was discontinued.
Would the No 7 or Superdrug ones fit the bill, Icelolly and Skunk?

DaftSkunk · 07/03/2020 07:41

Yes the No7 would fit the bill, they don't drag and are easy to apply. They have an offer on them on the boots website at the mo (not sure if offer is in-store too).

Only thing I wish was that they had a wider shade variety.

Cuttingthegrass · 07/03/2020 07:49

Clinique do a wonderful chubby stick for eyes and lips. Might be thicker than your current wrt using as eyeliner but they stay, blend easily and don't drag when applying

Papergirl1968 · 07/03/2020 12:54

Thanks, both, will look into thise

Tinseltrauma · 07/03/2020 12:59

Elf from Superdrug. Great for the price

MrsAmaro · 07/03/2020 13:04

The Glossier colorslide pencils have a pencil eyeliner tip but are really soft and easy to colour in the whole lid like a crayon.

Muminabun · 07/03/2020 13:23

Another vote for elf and also, sadly, bourgeois, which you can still get online ....at exorbitant prices.

Papergirl1968 · 07/03/2020 18:19

Thanks, some more for me to look out for 👍🏼

PETRONELLAS · 07/03/2020 18:21

Charlotte Tilbury’s are great. There is some sparkle but they’re so long lasting and don’t smudge etc. I would never have believed the hype but love them.

chloechloe · 07/03/2020 18:24

Nudestix are amazing:

www.cultbeauty.com/de/en/nudestix-magnetic-eye-colour-pencil.html

I use them as a liner and eyeshadow - really easy to smudge and blend but they stay on all day and don’t crease without any need for primer.

I would stay away from the Charlotte Tilbury ones- they slide right off after a few hours.

chloechloe · 07/03/2020 18:25

Cross posted with petronella - I don’t get on with the CT ones at all!

kerstina · 07/03/2020 19:34

I have Bobby brown one in Goldstone . It is quite a glittery shade but I love that . My favourite eyeshadow ever.

ColaPip · 07/03/2020 19:38

Beautypie do amazing ones - pretty much a dupe for Bobbi Brown.
I really rate Nudestix crayons too.

whataboutbob · 07/03/2020 20:03

MAC coffee. I have green eyes. It won’t last all day though but convenient as I applies well and you don’t need a brush.

MathsFiend · 07/03/2020 20:08

The beauty pie ones are pretty good, though obviously you have to pay for a membership and delivery too.

Annasgirl · 07/03/2020 21:42

I came on to say Kiko and see someone beat me to it - I love it so much I nearly started a thread on it myself!!
