How do I wear a cardigan without it becoming a rumpled mess?

Just that really. Got some lovely cardis, but they are a bugger to wear nicely. What am I doing wrong?!

Depends where they're looking messy. It could be where theres too much fabric. Belted at the waist? Sleeves folded up neatly rather than pushed up if too long?

None of my cardigans crease, what are yours made from?

This would be the kind of cardi I am talking about. When I sit down it becomes a crumpled mess. Drives me crazy.

Sadly, I think it is in the nature of cardis to crumple. I love a cardi but am considering switching to jackets and a shirt underneath so that I can take the jacket off when too hot, rather than my usual t shirt and cardi ensemble.

I think it's probably because it's an acrylic/nylon mix with very littlw wool. 100% wool won't crease. It's a longish cut too, are you sitting on it? Flipping it out from under your bum when you sit down should help matters!

When you buy clothes, grab a handful and squeeze for about 30 seconds to see how it will wrinkle with body heat.

Is it an option to sweep the cardigan back behind you when you sit so it’s not caught underneath you? Or to smooth it against you as you sit down?
