Ye gods, jeans are a nightmare!

I have short legs and am a bit fat. I look better in straights than skinnies. I also look better with minimal stretch, as the higher the polyester factor, the more they cling.

Where is a good place to shop for size 16/18, 30” length, non-stretch jeans?

Yeah, the colours they are selling at the moment are not great, I much prefer my black ones and am always looking out for proper dark denim too.

Maudesmum how are the Sophia ones? I bought a pair last summer and they're great for the first half hour, then do that bizarre stretching thing and go really baggy all over - I'm hoping M&S have tweaked the fabric to stop it happening, but don't want to waste the money to find out that they haven't!

And if anyone has a pair of Next Luxe Sculpt Slim leg in size 18 I will swap you all my loo roll, pasta and rum for them

I think the M&S skinnies in dark denim are pretty flattering on me (short size 10 with a big sticky out arse and solid of thigh). Though I have found their short length comes out 7/8 on me so I go for regular.

Crafty going by the ridiculous lack of it in these parts, about two days! I'm 5'9" size 18 with legs best described as parsnip-like, so have never found a pair of skinnies that don't look horrific on me...
