How to get waves like Holly Willoughby?

Hi,
I have below shoulder length hair and I am thinking about getting it cut to just above shoulder length and I was was wondering, do any of you know how to get loose waves/bends in hair like Holly Willoughby's? I have quite thick hair but it is starting to get into bad condition due to colouring, straightening etc and I thought that if I get it cut up a bit it might be better? I know though the curling would involve more heat! 🤦‍♀️ Do you think it is an easy style to do? TIA.

I’m interested too

I've not watched it but a quick YouTube found the answer lol!

there are loads of youtube tutorial. Some use tongs, others wands and others use flat irons. Find the one that works best for you. It takes some practice but once you get the knack. it is really easy.

Thanks everyone...I will definitely try this out. I usually use my straighteners but find it can make it "too curly". Can any of you recommend good tongs that don't cost the earth?!

I find these loose waves totally impossible to do! I've got tongs and irons but I can only make big curls, not waves. I did watch that tutorial but it took her forever and didn't seem particularly easy!

I've got that style. My hairdresser does the waves with straighteners. I had a bash and found it impossible! Got my lovely hairdresser to give me a lesson. Can now do the left side perfectly, but the right side is always a complete mess Grin

I have a waving iron that achieves this, it’s like a giant crimper made by Toni and Guy.

I’ve got a really chunky barrel wand that makes loose waves.

My hair is a bit longer but once I’ve brushed the curls out they turn to loose waves, also search for Naomibouncyblows on Instagram, the Naomi bun works really well on my hair.

octopusrus · 08/03/2020 21:44

fiorentina is it the deep barrel waver?

BonnesVacances · 08/03/2020 21:52

My hairdresser recommends the Babyliss Soft Waves wand. Lots of YouTube tutorials for it.

NC4Now · 08/03/2020 23:25

I get them by sleeping in a ponytail with the end tucked in

Geoffreythecat · 08/03/2020 23:44

She's very irritating, but this is how to do it!!

octopusrus · 09/03/2020 16:49

Geoffrey thank you for the video, I've given it a go and it worked! Didn't hold very well but maybe I need to use mousse or something first...

Glitterb · 09/03/2020 21:45

Get a Mark Hill waving wand, they are brilliant, cheap and it only takes me minutes to do my hair. My hair is thick and natural bolt straight

SoggyFroggy · 09/03/2020 21:46

I'm considering a relaxed perm Grin

notacooldad · 09/03/2020 21:48

My problem is not si much getting the wave but to stop them disappearing after half an hour!
