Winter Beach Wedding Guest Dress

I am stumped on this one. My brother is getting married on a beach at the start of winter. It is a pretty casual wedding, the bride is wearing a knee length green dress and it is just immediate family.

I am petite, size 10-12, summer colouring. I don't like high necklines.

I would love some suggestions of what to wear! Thank you.

A friend had a cocktail-wear themed wedding in February. I would advise a warm and glamorous wrap! It will be cold and windy on a beach so whatever you have on underneath you'll need something to wrap up in.

Thanks @Baroness, I was thinking maybe I should re-wear a dress and spend the money on a fabulous coat instead!

In the UK?

I live on the seafront. I’ve done many many Winter beach walks and a few Winter picnics (hot food, baileys hot chocolate, lots of blankets = lovely and cosy) but I would not choose a Winter beach wedding. The wind coming off the water can be absolutely biting!

In Australia @Cadburys and @RedRed9, but Tasmania which is a fairly similar climate to London!

It is a significant beach, it adjoins the family beach house, and it is the only time her family can come (from overseas). I imagine it will just be the ceremony outside and the rest will be inside, just a hundred meters away!

But it makes it so tricky to know what to wear! Puffer jacket, jeans and fur lined boots Confused??

Woolly hat and gloves?

Definitely a beautiful coat & scarf, nice shoes / boots and a dress for later when you go indoors. Tasmania is SO beautiful - I would love to go back.
