Needle piercing

I’m thinking of having a second ear piercing
I’ve taken on board all the advice to go for needle not gun
Does anyone know if they would let me use my own earrings (small gold and diamond stud)
Or if I have to buy new from them

Why particularly did you want to use your own? A reputable piercer would use sterile earrings so as not to introduce any infection to the new piercing. They would happily change them over to yours for you once they’d healed though.

If the piercer can autoclave them then I don't see why not, though this would be done at your risk (if they broke etc while in the autoclave). And I'd have been getting you to sign a disclaimer and you'd get no discount for providing the jewellery!

A gun for lobe piercings is actually ok though I would use a piercing shop. My lobes are gun pierced but helix and conch are needle piercings
