How to stop waves flattening out? Never get on with hairspray

I treated myself to a new wavy-wand-thing and the curls it makes are lovely, but don't last more than 2 hours really.

Is hairspray it? It makes my hair feel so dirty. I'm currently washing every 3rd day but need to do it the day after I use hairspray.

You need better hairspray... I use the Got2B Happy Hour hairspray. After curling, run fingers through hair and tip head over and lightly spray.

Holds all day. Can brush it out and wash hair every 3-4 days. I have long wavy/coarse hair down to below my boobs.
