Dyson Airwrap...I need one!

Tried one yesterday and just loved it. I have coarse curly frizzy hair and after 5 minutes it looked great! But it’s sooo expensive. Does anyone have one? Should I just go for it?

I do, I love it. I have flat, fine hair and this gives my roots lift and volume.

Probably one of my best purchases ever.

It's alright , not life changing or anything.

It is slightly easier to hold, not as heavy as a normal hairdryer.

I love mine. I also have frizzy curly hair. It's transformed my relationship with my hair. It was so hit and miss before about whether it was presentable but now it's a reliable 15 minute job to dry it and style it.

I've a babyliss big hair and it also transformed my relationship with my hair. People ask me all the time if I've had it blow dried.

Luckystar1 · 03/03/2020 07:12

Yes I have had one now for over a year. I have very thick hair. Every time I use it I am asked if I have had a blow dry. It had also seriously cut down on drying time for me.

I can't get on with mine. It gives me curls but not straight smooth hair and is always a bit frizzy!

Is the dyson better?

RuggyPeg · 03/03/2020 07:43

The Dyson is great but the style drops before I've even left the house. I need proper heat to hold a style......like a curling barrel or straighteners.

Mercurial123 · 03/03/2020 16:32

I have really curly hair which frizzes a lot. I borrowed the airwrap from a friend and I was underwhelmed. I also need more heat. I bought the Steam Pod 3 which gives me super straight hair and then use my cloud 9 wand if I want waves.

Look at eBay

Lily193 · 03/03/2020 17:10

I have one but I don't think it's any better than other styling products I own. I think I probably need to practice more.

FarquarKumquatsmama · 03/03/2020 17:21

I really want to try the Airwrap!
There was a thread like this a couple of weeks ago and lots of people recommended something like the Big Hair but newer, better and doesn’t make hair frizzy. Can anyone remember what it was? Can’t find the thread anymore.

zippyswife · 03/03/2020 17:43

Was it a revlon flat brush maybe?

damnthatanxiety · 03/03/2020 19:38

I don't like the curl it gives. It curls all the way down to the end which looks a bit Kate Middleton and dated. I prefer a more modern wave/curl where the ends are left straight. Image with dark hair = airwrap old school curled hair. Blond = more current flat iron curl

I think the Revlon one step was recommended on the other thread. I've just bought one!

Floraflower3 · 03/03/2020 19:45

@damnthatanxiety you can manually wrap your hair around the barrel to create waves Smile

I love mine. I have chemically straightened afro hair and I love that the low temps mean no heat damage and I can style my hair more frequently, the firm smoothing brush is a godsend! I am figuring out how to make the styles last though and my hair is usually good at holding curls.
