Hi, for the first time in my adult liege I am on a quest to get a ‘summer body’. I am tackling the weight lose (8lb off in 8 days so far!) and to my surprise I am also enjoying doing home work outs. But...is there anyway I can improve the look of cellulite? I have started dry brushing but anything I can do? Any tips please?

My only tip may not be relevant but don't smoke. I had cellulite and thought it was just the way was. I gave up smoking and one day I looked and NO cellulite.

Watching with interest, as I've tried various ways to get rid of cellulite on the backs of my thighs.
I'm not overweight, I exercise regularly ( yoga and aquacise- could do something different , maybe?).
I dry body brush every day, and use a cellulite targeting cream.
Even had a course of ultrasonic treatment, but that didn't help.

Ignore it. Start looking at other women's legs, not in a weird way, and you quickly notice that it is just a normal part of women's legs.

Cellulite is a made up thing to make you feel bad about yourself and sell you products and treatments that don't work, or need to be repeated over and over again.

Continue with the body brushing but do it religiously. That bbc show on looking good tried it and it really worked.

I started jan 1 but I’m not looking till April.

How have you lost 8lbs in 8 days? That sounds very unhealthy and very unsustainable.

Cellulite, cut out alcohol, smoking, refined sugars. Start doing squats and lunges.

Scientist generally poo poo body brushing as a method of reducing cellulite. It increases the blood flow in the area but only for the period you are actually brushing so in total time, nothing really. It can also exacerbate broken veins.

A lot of early weight loss is water.

as someone upthread says, cellulite is beauty 'industry' babble for normal skin texture.

fart about with brushes if you want but it will either go or not, and so what if it doesn't? It's the same lies as the stuff sold to reduce stretch marks, which is clinically proven to do sweet FA.

the evil beauty 'industry' is really clever at writing labels so they are on the right side of the law. all still lies though.

Not over half a stone in basically a week Hmm

florriepeck · 01/03/2020 15:36

puds11, I'm a long time Slimming World target member, and it's not at all unusual for new members to lose eight pounds or more in their first week.

Thank you to the helpful comments. I know it will never go. I have some really deep dimples that I would just like to improve the look of. I will try the squats and lunges, thank you. I don’t smoke and I drink around 4 litres of water a day. For those asking, I’m doing Keto.

How old are you?.

I’ve always had a smattering of it even when I had 23” waist.

DollyPomPoms · 01/03/2020 16:56

I am 33 but I remember being embarrassed about it in PE at school at 13! I wasn’t overweight.

Still got lovely young skin then!.

You can but try with these things, I think muscle tone helps enormously.

I was overweight as a child & pe was torture 😭.
