Hair products for short hair

Have recently gone from bob to short hair - I'd say a mid length pixie cut with side swept fringe. My hair is fine but looks much thicker now. Does anyone have any recommendations for products to use - mainly for styling dry hair but on wet hair too if it helps. Looking for texture and definition and trying to avoid the dreaded "lego hair". Hairdresser used powder which I have bought and seems to work but I am slightly at a loss after years of having a bob which required completely different products.

Lego hair!! That made me laughSmile. Have you tried using a small amount of wax? It gives a textured look, without being greasy.

Any recommendations for a wax? I like the idea of a spray wax if anyone knows of a good one.

Not exactly a way, more of a light putty but I use L’Oréal de-polish. I think it’s a salon only thing so you might not find it in boots. It’s more matte than a wax but lighter than a matte clay that others may suggest. It’s perfect for adding texture and a bit of hold on my fine hair pixie

And a tube lasts ages - pea sized amount rubbed into hands and scrunched into hair daily

I use pixie wax, I got it from Tesco but I thinks it by L'Oreal.

Its good for texturising and moulding, then I do a quick blast of hairspray to hold.

Halfway through drying I spray on either a volumising mousse or spray, just to give it a slight lift...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll have a look at the products mentioned.

I have a pixie cut, Ginnifer Goodwin style short, and I love the Fudge urban matte up matte wax (blue and orange tin) or the Fudge professional style matte hed (grey and orange tube)

Seasalt spray can add texture if your hair is fine. You won't end up with lego hair unless you have thick hair so don't worry about that.

I have short hair and it's best product ever. When you've dried/blow dried your hair, a tiny bit rubbed between your palms, makes all the difference.

I link it everywhere because if it goes as a product, I will be bereft. Best product ever for short hair AFAIC

When my hair was short I used Tigi Bedhead Manipulator and it worked brilliantly. My hairdresser used it on my hair but it was much cheaper to buy from Amazon.

Ooh I used Beadhead Manipulator many years ago when I had short hair but thought it would've disappeared or been replaced by now. I loved the smell of it. Interestingly I put that other Bedhead one in my Amazon basket the other day. This is all going to cost me a fortune! Really enjoying having short hair though!!
