As title, I need something a bit more supportive than converse, am I barking up the wrong tree?!!

I love my superga and can easily walk all day in them

Buggedandconfused · 28/02/2020 09:47

Veja’s are not hugely comfortable! I sent mine back for this reason. The tongue is stiff and thin, and they are not very cushioned.

baileysandamincepie · 28/02/2020 12:38

Veja are not comfortable in the usual trainer sense. They are not cushioned, are heavy, the tongue is stiff, and mine - V10s - rubbed all round the top. They have no technical properties that a sports trainer brand would offer. But then neither do Superga.

I think they are more like wearing a normal shoe, like a brogue.

I have vans old skool comfycush ( stupid name) instead of converse now. Very comfortable. Shop around for discounts I got from la redoute I think. My osteopath warmed me off converse sadly

ArfArfBarf · 28/02/2020 12:40

I have v10s which are not comfy but Veja also do more sporty trainers which are very comfy. Also look at New Balance which are really comfy.

If you can stretch your budget, Air & Grace are fat and away the comfiest and you won’t regret it. I found Superga on small side with sizing so never comfy for me but have had Vejas, Golden Goose, Converse and others - converse were too flat and thin soled for me.

Kittywampus · 28/02/2020 12:48

I found superga just as uncomfortable as converse. Not tried vejas. For maximum comfort I wear fitflop trainers or skechers.

Rocket dog pumps are surprisingly, although I do need an insole with them.

ShyTown · 28/02/2020 12:53

I have both. Neither are more supportive than Converse. Superga are the more comfortable of the 2, I’m fine in them all day but I would be in just about any shoe. If you need support then I’d look elsewhere.

Tried Vejas and they were so uncomfortable that I didn't buy them. Sold a pair of hardly worn supergas because they weren't great. I like more support in a shoe.

Depending on what you want them for I'd look at proper trainers or a more supportive shoe like Hotter or Fitflops. Not all the styles are frumpy, some are fine.

ViserionTheDragon · 29/02/2020 22:22

I have the Veja Esplar, Veja Campo and Superga. The most comfortable is the Campo closely followed by Superga.

emma6776 · 01/03/2020 18:15

Vejas are like bricks! So uncomfortable. Superga are very slightly more comfortable but dull. I absolutely love Adidas sleek and Adidas sambarose. The chunkier soles make them incredibly comfy.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 01/03/2020 18:31

You would be better off with some Adidas or New Balance trainers if you want comfort.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 01/03/2020 18:53

I have both and find them equally comfortable. The vejas needed a little breaking in - particularly the tongue but after a few wears there was no issue.

ChipsAreLife · 01/03/2020 18:56

I found my vejas really easy to wear and more comfy than converse

Sooverthemill · 02/03/2020 09:17

My DD bought vans old skool in September and us still getting blisters. I've worn mine one day with none. I reckon everyone is different! And Veja Campo seem to be considered the most comfortable style
