I’m looking for a pair of summer culottes. Basically like this skirt (or a bit longer)

You won't find an exact match as that looks a bit like a ra-ra skirt but it would be easy to make something similar if you or a friend are handy with a sewing machine.
Alternative is to wear cycling short style leggings underneath.

Zara have a few. Try searching for 'skort' on their website.

@MoltonSilver hi I ordered the Zara ones last week online but they’re sooo short! They’re a bit tight so I may order the next size or two up and see if that works as they’ll be less high up on my hips...

@MikeUniformMike yes it’s not so much the rara, more the wider shape that I like. Not Bermuda shorts in other words! Yes I could wear cycling shorts but I’d rather not 😁

I have a divided skirt. It looks like a skirt but is really shorts. I wear it with thick tights. I keep meaning to make copies of it but am bone idle and crap at sewing.

You can make one from a rectangle of fabric, and a piece of elastic. You don't really need a pattern.
