Eyeshadow palette recommendations?

Ok, basically I feel like shit and I really want to cheer myself up with the age old remedy of buying things I don’t realistically need.
I have a love of eyeshadow palettes and I haven’t splurged in a while so can I have your best recommendations please? I love gold and warm brown colours and I particularly want a palette with a stand out, shimmery gold. Proper sparkly without being chunky glitter if it exists Grin
I have a lot by urban decay and while I like them I don’t think there the be all and end all that everybody makes out.
I also have a few Kat Von D (or whatever it is now) that I love but fancy a change.
I have a very smashed Norvina palette by ABH and I do like the look of the sultry and soft glam palettes. Anybody own them and can tell me if there worth buying?
I’ve never tried Nars, maybe one by them?
Please come talk eyeshadow with me!

I love Urban Decay palettes and I think the 'naked honey' would be what you are looking for. They currently have a good reduction on it at Debenhams

See I do love the colours in the urban decay honey one. Has anybody got it and can tell me about the pigmentation? I find they can be a bit hit and miss. I love the original naked palette and use it all the time but I couldn’t get on with naked 3 or the born to run palette. The formula seemed chalkier somehow.
I will have a look at the Huda palettes too. I’ve tried their liquid lipsticks and lip liners and liked them so I’m interested to see what the eyeshadow is like. Thanks everyone!

Another recommendation for Huda! I have the light nude palette and it’s lovely, though there are loads to choose from. Not too expensive either. I also love Charlotte Tilbury, she has some great palettes but they are a bit more expensive and a lot of them only have four shadows. They are good quality though and nice to use.

Try Morphe, they have an amazing choice and I find them much better than Urban Decay. The price point is fab too.

Urban Decay Naked Honey, as mentioned, has a lovely bright shimmery gold.

I find that YouTube is best for gauging make up colours and quality - I look for reviews and tutorials by people with a similar skin tone to mine. Swatches and applications in person (albeit on video) are generally much more accurate than photos. And if you watch 3-5 videos you generally get a pretty good idea if you’re going to like it.

There is no problem getting an eyeshadow palette with golds and browns in. They are everywhere! Try looking for other colours though....Another story!

Tom Ford - expensive but so worth it. Cognac sable is great. Golden mink more subtle and it has 2 out of 4 as glitters.

marbler · 01/03/2020 10:22

I have urban decay honey! I use it everyday and the pigment is brilliant. Too it off with urban decay setting spray and it lasts all day too!

LajesticVantrashell · 01/03/2020 10:24

I have a Stila palette - very good and great pigmentation. I also have Tarte, Morphe and CT which have a great variation of colours.

For really stand out shimmer (I have hooded eyes so this is my holy grail) I use a Stila liquid eyeshadow which does pop.

LajesticVantrashell · 01/03/2020 10:27

I think they're called Shimmer and Glow

ClientQueen · 01/03/2020 10:58

I have sultry and soft glam and love them both. Pigmented and east to blend

Have a look at the Too Faced palette called Born This Way, some lovely golden shades in there.
