India Knight's hair cream recommendation?

Thedevilofsmallthings · 26/02/2020 19:55

She recommended a £10 hair cream this week but I can't see what it is unless I subscribe to The Sunday Times.

If you read her recommendation could you let me know what it was?

Thanks.

Hmm, is that the same Hersheshons who are purveyors of #kindlygifted #presssample Hmm haircuts to influencers and journalists, being recommended by a journalist/influencer? No #AD required of course...

I’m sure the product is actually absolutely fine, but who can trust any of these recommendations any more?

NiteFlights · 27/02/2020 09:14

Just as a matter of interest, in a bored moment a while ago I downloaded and read Daniel Hersheson’s book and was interested to see that he doesn’t over-recommend products. For example, he says he’ll never bring out a hairspray, because nobody can make one that’s as good as Elnett. This info could be out of date now (!) but he does recommend stuff other than his own products.

EnidButton · 27/02/2020 14:35

I believe she and her friends get freebies (haircuts etc) and discounts from Hersheshons though so I can't trust her recommendation this time. Might be the best thing ever and isn't that expensive to risk it but it isn't as clear cut as it first looks.

EnidButton · 27/02/2020 14:38

That is good Nite. It might be amazing stuff and IK might genuinely love it but just saying.

Clymene · 27/02/2020 14:41

I don't believe any of IK's recommendations. They're basically advertorials.

Thedevilofsmallthings · 27/02/2020 16:09

Decided against a purchase this time, don't think it will be anything to my hair.

Elnett is the best hairspray - it has been for as long as I can remember.

Glenthebattleostrich · 27/02/2020 16:13

I've bought some to try but only because I need some new anti frizz stuff. Must remember to pop some more elnett on the shopping list, I've run out.

NiteFlights · 27/02/2020 19:44

Oh I agree with you Enid. I don’t think much of IK!

boilingstormyseas · 28/02/2020 18:36

I did actually buy the product this time and used it today. Have to say I'm really rather pleased with it! I have very thick wavy dry hair and usually use mythic oil but this has left my hair feeling soft and non-frizzy (and I'm not being paid to say this!!!).

TildaKauskumholm · 28/02/2020 18:42

What about Vitapointe? It's been around for ages and has good reviews.

Glenthebattleostrich · 01/03/2020 21:44

Finally tried the product and I'm impressed. Without blow-drying, straitening or swearing I have lovely swishy hair! It's soft, sleek and shiny! An I agree, I should write for advertising!!! Something like 'i was surprised to find your hair crap wasn't shite and left me with pretty hair. While getting the pretty hair I didn't once yell oh for fuck sake!!'

I’ve got Hershesons Almost Everything Cream, it’s nothing special.
