Can retinoids affect moles?

I have a mole on my forehead that I had checked out back in the autumn. The GP put some microscope thingy on it and pronounced it nothing to worry about.

Since then it has been changing shape - at the top it now has a weird almost flappy bit and it seems a little bigger but the colour is generally the same as far as I recall.

Now I am definitely having it checked out again by my GP but I was wondering if, instead of being something sinister the change in shape and size could have a more benign explanation- at around the same time as I had the mole checked I upgraded from a drugstore retinol to a prescription retinoid (Tretinoin).

Is anyone aware if there could be a connection?

Sorry, no idea, but definitely make your GP aware of the change coinciding with tretonin use.
