It's the menopause isn't it?

I have noticed my hair breaking at the root around my hairline.
Scary stuff.

Not necessarily op. What’s your diet like and do you chemically treat your hair? Do you take supplements op, ie. calcium etc?

I had iron checked & it was really low - my hair was falling out. It's breaking round hairline now & my thyroid has suddenly gone overactive so I'd get bloods checked.

Okay thank you. I dislike going to the GP so much, it's such an ordeal to get an appointment and strongly dislike the GP. Got my bloods done a few weeks ago and the rating thing that checks for menopause was high, 60, but GP said to do more test. No mention that iron was low. I will start taking supplements anyway. I do highlight my hair every 4 months or so.

I have problem with hair at the moment (not breaking though more like loosing more than usual) so started taking gentle iron from Boots, it looks a little bit better after few months.
By the way, what was this you checked for menopause ?
