Recommend a lightweight weekend bag?

They seem so expensive for what they are, I've looked at Herschel and Eastpak.

Comes in different colours. Few others on JL and other sites .

Personally I like LongChamp bags but not as cheap as Day .

I bought one of these last year and used it for 5 days in Prague. It was brilliant, I fitted loads in and it was very lightweight yet strong.

I had mine from Amazon and paid around £10, they come in different sizes.

I have a longchamps le pliage, and the catch kidston foldaway weekend bag. They’re both very light.

Cath even!

I use a Cath Kidston hold-all style bag. I’ve had it about 8 years I think and it still looks brand new. CK isn’t generally my thing but I love this bag, it’s so practical and somehow always look ‘right’ (but then I did pick the best pattern available at the time to fit my general style).

The exact style I bought is no longer available but if I were to get something from there now it’d be one of these:

Otherwise I’d probably strongly consider a Le Pliage, although that will be a little more expensive (but virtually indestructible):

Or the leather version (which isn’t exactly inexpensive but should last a lifetime):

Thanks so much! I've gone with the cheaper wandf travel bag recommended by @MadisonAvenue for now, as my DC will almost certainly borrow it. I may treat myself to another at a later time.

I understand that you have already bought one, but if you are near the coast then a lot of sailmakers re-make worn out sails into weekend bags. Mine cost about £35 10 years ago. It weighs nothing, and is a good carry on size; I often took it to France for three week casual holidays (mainly shorts and T shirts, one dress) without a check in bag, but bought toiletries locally in the supermarket. And no hairdryers or heavy kit.
