Timberland Boots - Sizing & Colour

Looking to invest in my first timberlands but few queries!

First sizing - I am usually a small UK size 4, should I downsize at all or are they quite true to size?

Colours - not sure which would be more versatile to wear more, the original beige, black or grey? Want to get lots of use out of them but not sure if just black is a bit boring?! What do people normally style them with?

I have my normal size in black. Honestly I don't think they're that comfy and they're a pain to get on and off. I e just worn them today with the snow and wondered why I ever got them to be honest.

I've got a pair that are 12 years old, true to size and have lasted amazingly well.

I went to buy myself a new pair recently, and they were such poor quality compared to my old ones that I didn't buy them.
