Hi
Where can I find matching dresses for my 4 year daughter and me in London.
I have checked amazon and eBay.

OP posts:

Find a dressmaker or learn to sew.

JorisBonson · 24/02/2020 09:48

Why do you want to dress like a 4 year old?

puppylambkins · 24/02/2020 10:01

Look up Popsy online brilliant dresses and they do wee ones to match

GreyHare · 24/02/2020 10:10

Didn't next bring out a twee range called Mummy and Me or something consisting of matching outfits.

WillyWonkaIsAWanker · 24/02/2020 13:15

H&M had some this summer too. Not sure I'd want to dress like my daughter though... 😜

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 24/02/2020 13:20

I think it's really cute! Go OP!

WeirdMoments · 24/02/2020 13:21

Place marking so I can do the same. Except she is an infant still Grin

Strongmummy · 24/02/2020 13:21

Don’t. Just. Don’t

Krong · 24/02/2020 13:22

Needle and Thread have just launched a kids range with mini versions of their adult dresses.

Cinderellasma · 24/02/2020 13:28

All DD7 asked for her recent birthday was that we were matchies. Strictly speaking we weren't, I got a denim dress from Tesco and just bought her one from Matalan , she was delighted though. She loves the idea of matching. Doesn't bother me a bit.
Ebay have some full on matching dresses though.
Go for it. If it's a one off thing it is lovely.

Miseryisabutterfly · 24/02/2020 13:48

Mango had matching mother and daughter looks. I’ve seen H&M do it too. If you are small enough you could wear bits from Zara’s girls section. They have lovely things I would happily wear!

youngestisapsycho · 24/02/2020 14:00

Please don't. It's bad enough when siblings are dressed the same! Grin

ScarlettBlaize · 24/02/2020 14:11

Some good shops for this are:
Tweedledum and Tweedledee in Kensington
24th Trimester in Westfield
Pea peas in a poddy pod (kings road)
Dolly and Me (oxford street)
Everyone thinks we're sisters (range at Topshop)

TimeToGetMeBack · 24/02/2020 14:32

Want that trend do matching mum and daughter dresses

bedtimebrew · 24/02/2020 22:44

Just so you know, my mum and I used to match outfits when I was little (often colours rather than styles) but they're among my fondest memories (and I have lots) I LOVED dressing like my amazing mummy as a little girl so I say go for it!

MaJoady · 24/02/2020 23:56

Sugarhill Brighton seem to do some matching ranges

Duchessofealing · 26/02/2020 22:07

Yumi sometimes have some matching dresses

edgewater · 26/02/2020 22:31

Oh no, please don’t.

newbingepisodes · 26/02/2020 22:36

Me and my daughter have "matching" dresses for a relatives wedding. I say matching they are both navy and the same "shape" of dress. They aren't identical.

WeirdMoments · 27/02/2020 09:19

bedtimebrew so cuuuuuuuute!

Zinnia · 27/02/2020 23:03

Oh lord, April issue of Red mag has a whole page dedicated to this idea.

Bezalelle · 28/02/2020 07:10

Cringe! Don't do it.

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 28/02/2020 07:16

I used to dress like my mum as a child! I loved it! Sometimes I'd try to dress as my dad too as well

To be fair to either of them they didn't know I was doing it. But if mum came down in say a stripy top and jeans I'd find the same to wear.

Whatsbrownandsticky · 28/02/2020 07:43

That's so lovely, dish. You obviously love your parents.

ElderAve · 28/02/2020 07:48

Oh dear God. I thought this would be some sort of Mickey take but it seems you mean it. I've seen some ads but I've never seen anyone actually do it IRL. Just why?
