I need help finding an amazing plus size dress!

I’ve had several threads on here asking for help finding a bridesmaids dress, I also have a thread in _chat about not wanting to be a bridesmaid...spoken to the friend and I’m now no longer a bridesmaid! I now need a dress that will make me feel really good.

I’m a size 20/22, pretty flabby after losing weight Grin, weight is mainly in my tummy, I can’t wear heels (can wear a kitten but I hate them, could wear a low wedge), I love forest green and think it really suits me so that’s the preferable colour but I’m open to blues and burgundy’s, needs sleeves or at least something to cover the tops of my arms, wedding is in May.

I love this one and will order it (although annoyingly it used to come in forest green!!) but would love other ideas as I’m not sure about the shape

Hello! Look at Bombshell. They do GREAT dresses for the curvier woman. www.bombshellhq.com/pages/essential-size-guide

Anything here?

Wore this to a family wedding. You might need to get it shortened as the skirt is quite long, but it's comfortable and even prettier in real life.

ScottishDiblet do they have other stockists other then just the website?! There’s a couple of incredible velvet dresses but they’re out of stock!

Thanks Raera, I’ll have a look!

Just the website I think. Might be worth emailing them though as it’s a lovely company. Also for May maybe velvet too warm?

How about this OP? I’m a Jewel Winter Hourglass and a lovely MNetter recommended this designer on a thread I started.

I now have three of these dresses and they are divine. To let you know they have plenty of stretch so definitely worth ordering a few in different sizes. I have this one in black and it’s gorgeous

floffel unfortunately it doesn’t go up big enough!

I’m thinking of something like this with some gathering or ruching at the front to hide the tummy a bit

I have visions of wearing this with my big curly hair and feeling amazing...the shape of the dress may not actually work and I’ll be back to the drawing board in a week but it’s worth a shot Grin

Spartonian preferably around the £100 mark but I would go to £200 if it made me feel incredible

Have you had a look at oasis curve? They usually have some lovely dresses at a reasonable price.

Looking on ASOS some of the brands that seem to have wedding appropriate dresses are little mistress plus, lavish Alice plus, glamorous curve, chi chi London and ASOS edition.
Although many of them seem to be quite questionable....

ScottishDiblet I know but I love it!! I’d love something like it that’s more weather appropriate!

Unfortunately the one you linked to is just too green!

I’m going through all the links now, thank you!

I LOVE the one you posted OP. If the wedding is in the UK it'll still be bloody freezing in May anyway so I say go for it!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 22/02/2020 22:25

I do love it bedtimebrew! Sadly that one is out of stock so I’m trying to find similar elsewhere
