I’m nearly 40, can I wear this?

For a night out? Meal and drinks.
I’d wear it with black opaques, black ankle boots and blacker leather biker jacket.
It’s a playsuit in case it isn’t clear.

I like it but don’t want to risk looking like a tit. I don’t get out much.

It looks great, like that for winter. For summer I would wear it with black sandals, I like to get my moneys worth.

Im older than you and I would wear it.

Have a good night Wine

LellyMcKelly · 23/02/2020 03:52

I have something similar and wear it with a vest and leggings and DMs and I’m 51.

1forAll74 · 23/02/2020 05:06

NO NO AND NO it is very frumpy,. I am an oldie. and would not go out in that attire at all,. Do you not do glam at all. ?

unbalancedBella · 23/02/2020 06:42

51, clicked it. Will wear with tights and (probably DM) boots. Might also wear with legs in the summer.

partygamer · 23/02/2020 10:34

As if your legs are a 14 OP! Grin

Eminybob · 23/02/2020 11:58

Thanks everyone. I went with the red lips suggestion and I did feel fab and had a great night. Slightly too much wine drank and I’m feeling it today, it was my first proper night out since having my 15 month old!

You looked great OP! You've inspired me go buy it.

(Never mind the sad troll, they've been trying and failing to get attention elsewhere as well).

Everytimeiseeher · 23/02/2020 15:15

I’m 45 and would definitely wear that. Where is it from op?

Eminybob · 24/02/2020 06:56

H&M. There’s a link upthread

You should really be on commission! I never shop in H&M but bought this dress after seeing your thread and loved it on a night out at the weekend. I think it'll be better when it's not as wild weather so I can wear it without tights but still liked it with black opaques. Good choice OP!

SinkGirl · 24/02/2020 14:02

That and tights? I could not be arsed with that rigmarole in order to pee.

Sorry, missing the point 😂

SinkGirl · 24/02/2020 14:03

Haha, I see you had that issue once you put it on 😂

Strictly1972 · 24/02/2020 14:11

I really like this op. Think I will order it. Need to shift a bit of weight really but I’m working on that & starting to get there. I’m 40 & it’s hard to find things that i like for going out. I don’t feel old enough for some items but don’t feel young enough for others but still want to feel like I’m on trend. I’m fairly sure I’m not cool but like to pretend 🤣

MinkowskisButterfly · 24/02/2020 14:18

I'm 40 and if I wasn't so over weight then I would wear it! Go for it!

Strictly1972 · 24/02/2020 14:22

Btw, was it easy enough to get on & off for the loo after wine??!!

lovelyjubbly40 · 27/02/2020 09:46

I love it!!

Astrabees · 27/02/2020 15:05

I would wear it at 63, so no reason you shouldn't. I'd wear it on holiday somewhere warm to go out for a meal in the evening. Probably not in UK, except maybe a warm summer evening at home.

Strictly1972 · 27/02/2020 18:38

Mines arrived & it doesn’t look awful. Yay! I’ve managed to get into a size 12 comfortably so I’m happy with that. I defo need tights though. It’s really nice. Thanks op x

ladyvimes · 27/02/2020 18:40

Definitely! With tights and shoe boots. You’ll look great! I love a play suit!
