The perfect natural perfume

Does it exist?

I want a completely natural, feminine, ‘sexy’ perfume but I’m struggling.

I like flowers, spices, vanilla.
Nothing too ‘flowery’, I like a bit of an edge.

Chemicals irritate my chest, I did have a lovely all natural black musk one once but then it stopped being made, temporarily as apparently the perfumer couldn’t source source ingredients but the last time I checked the website the price has rocketed and I don’t really want to spend too much.

I’ve bought a new one ‘Salvatore tripi white musk’, I naively expected it to be similar to the old body shop version but it isn’t imo.

It’s nice, but I’m not sure it’s ‘me’, there’s a soapy tone to it I’m not sure I like..

Help me wise ones?

Glossier You might be worth a sniff if you are in London to visit the pop up shop in Covent Garden.

You might like ‘Fragonard’ by Fragonard. You have to order it online as they do not have UK shops (M and S stock some, but only weaker versions). I think they sell sets of little bottles. Certainly they have good descriptions of the fragrances.

Not a Perfume from Juliette has a Gun

Liz Earle does botanical essences with 89% natural ingredients. I haven't tried them so I don't know if they're good.

I was going to say Liz earle. I don't like smelling of perfume but Liz Earle makes me smell 'nice' without being an obvious scent. The number 15 has some of the notes you say you like.

Coco Chanel (the original one, not mademoiselle)

J Lo “glow” just smells of clean. I get it from Amazon for around £15. It was recommended on here.

frostedviolets · 20/02/2020 18:15

I used to have j Lo glow when it first came out, it’s a lovely fragrance but it gives me a headache and sets off my chest now.

I only buy natural perfume now with no artificial chemicals

If you can get to a Space NK check out the Clean Reserve range. Fragrance is so personal it’s hard to recommend but they have some nice unusual scents.

Burberry body. Not sure if the ingredients, but it’s a very soft smell which is supposed to mimic your skin,

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 20/02/2020 22:17

I love Liz Earle n1. Crisp and citrussy sharp. Bit like Cristalle.
4160 Tuesdays stuff might be natural though most of them are very sweet and fruity and smell to me like someone has mixed all their mum's scent together. Ealing Green is lovely though.
If you don't like "soapy" then avoid Iris notes.

Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid is lovely, and vegan.
