Messy Bun Scrunchie

I have an asymmetrical undercut bob. Not a full speak to the manager, but there are days... Grin

Anyway, I'm trying to wash it less. It's long enough to tie back but not really long enough to style as tied back. A friend suggested a messy bun scrunchie and to tie it back as a low bun, and I've looked and the styling seems... a little far from mine! I wear sort of, Joseph/All Saints/Toast sort of stuff, biker jackets and skinnies etc, and I'm around 40. I don't have a plastic surgery face.

So can anyone tell me from personal experience - are these awful or genius? www.lullabellz.com/large-premium-messy-bun-style-hair-scrunchie-hair-extensions or any recommendations for other (better?) versions?

I’ve not used one for years, but they always look pretty fake in my opinion...

Yeah it looks like this to me!

Unless you get an excellent colour match and have really shiny hair they always look fake imo.

A mum at my daughter's school wears one of these and it's very obviously fake, kind of like barbie hair.

I do have very thick shiny hair. It's practically a wig already. Grin

But yeah - I think my first instinct was right.

If u have thick glossy hair- just make your own bun with an extra large velvet scrunchie? Very easy to do and looks great!

It's not long enough, alas.

I think it's genius. I clearly don't belong on the s&b board Grin

I got one of these in Primark a while ago. It’s great in the evening in poor lighting, but I wouldn’t wear it in the daylight. It only cost a couple of quid but I haven’t seen them there for a while. Claire’s used to have them as well.
