Help!

I have a date on Saturday and I don't know where to begin.

What's good for a slightly over weight mum tum just hit 40 on her first date in over a decade?

I was thinking wrap dress. But nothing too dressy. And god shoes. I can't wear heels for toffee. Heeeeelp me.

Oh and if anyone knows anywhere good to go in central London that would also help

Basically I'm out of my depth.

Thank you

Definitely go with the shirt, the other one is too high necked. The shirt hints at your assets in a perfect 1st date way!

magnarocks · 22/02/2020 11:25

Go with the latter top, it's lovely. Wishing you luck!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/02/2020 11:55

2nd top is a zillion times better. Have fun!

NoNoAndNoAgain · 22/02/2020 12:48

Thank you everyone! Second top it is.

I only hope this guy is half as lovely as you lot and it'll be an amazing date.

(If there's a second date I may be back for more advice...)

Have a lovely weekend Thanks

Good luck tonight!

Feel free to update if you want!

Growingboys · 23/02/2020 07:13

How was it?

okiedokieme · 23/02/2020 07:44

Jeans, flat leather boots, nice top - choose a nice pub that's not likely to be too busy, the ones towards Holborn tend to be quieter if it's a Saturday

NoNoAndNoAgain · 23/02/2020 08:27

It was amazing. Thank you!

He made me laugh. He said I looked petrified. And when I told him it was my first date in 13 years he spent the whole time making sure I was okay and saying I looked beautiful.

We met at 2pm for a quick afternoon date...Which turned into him cancelling his other plans to stay with me and then taking me to the station for the last train home.

We're just trying to organise date two...!

All in all I think it went well! I can't say it was all down to the outfit but it definitely helped. Thank you for all your advice and support. If it hadn't have been for you I wouldn't have had the confidence to get out there. Thanks
